摘要： Techniques for scheduling UEs are described. In one design, a scheduler (e.g., for a cell) may receive channel direction information (CDI) and channel strength information (CSI) from a plurality of UEs. In one design, the CDI from each UE may include at least one eigenvector, and the CSI from each UE may include at least one singular value corresponding to the at least one eigenvector. The scheduler may schedule at least one UE among the plurality of UEs for data transmission based on the CDI and CSI from the plurality of UEs. The scheduler may select the at least one UE based on a metric related to signal-to-leakage ratio (SLR), or spectral efficiency, etc. In one design, the scheduler may evaluate the performance of different sets of UEs to determine whether to schedule one UE for single-user MIMO or multiple UEs for multi-user MIMO.

摘要： Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for implicitly linking aperiodic channel state information (A-CSI) reports to CSI-reference signal (CSI-RS) resources. In an aspect, the UE may be instructed to report on specific CSI-RS resource(s) via explicit signaling in the UE grant. Other aspects disclose techniques for implicit CSI-RS resource selection by the UE that require fewer signaling resources. Instead of explicitly signaling CSI-RS resources to the UE, the UE may implicitly select CSI-RS resource for CSI feedback reporting based on information known to the UE, e.g. a subframe on which a reporting request is received. This may reduce the impact of the additional signaling in the UE grant.

摘要： Techniques for performing interference management to support peer-to-peer (P2P) communication in a wide area network (WAN) are described. In an aspect, interference management may be performed in a coordinated manner for/by a set of server nodes, which may include a P2P server and at least one neighbor server node of the P2P server. The P2P server may be a UE communicating peer-to-peer with at least one other UE or P2P client. Interference management may be performed for the set of server nodes to reduce interference to the P2P server and/or the at least one P2P client. In one design, active sets may be determined for UEs. The active set of each UE may include nodes received with sufficient strength by that UE. The set of server nodes may be determined based on the active sets of the P2P server, the at least one P2P client, and possibly other UEs.

摘要： Providing for a multipoint equalization (MPE) framework for coordinated multipoint (CoMP) transmission in wireless communication is described herein. The disclosed MPE framework involves distributed scheduling decisions for CoMP transmission, reducing complexity of scheduling coordination as compared with centralized scheduling techniques that coordinate scheduling decisions for multiple network base stations. Further, the MPE framework involves distributed computation of CoMP transmission coefficients, relying on a maximum of two backhaul hops to obtain information for the computation, and disseminate the transmission coefficients. The disclosed MPE framework shows substantial gains in various network deployments over conventional CoMP techniques.

In the disclosed aspects, an eNB may be equipped to signal an identifier indicating a plurality of resource patterns, each associated with a resource pattern group, and each including a first resource element pattern for channel estimation and a second resource element pattern for interference estimation. The UE may be equipped to receive the signaling and perform channel estimation based at least in part on the first resource clement pattern, and interference estimation based at least in part on the second resource pattern generate at least one channel state report based on the channel and interference estimations, and transmit at least one channel state report to an eNB. The eNB may determine one or more resources for use by the UE based on the at least one received channel state report.
