摘要： An image forming apparatus which is capable of suppressing occurrence of color moire. A second storage unit stores image data associated with at least two colors. A controller reads out the stored color-specific image data while designating a reading position in a sub scanning direction of the image data. A transfer unit transfers a color image onto a recording medium based on the read-out image data of each color. An image processing unit corrects the reading position in the sub scanning direction of the image data of each color according to profile data of each color defined based on position curve information in the main scanning direction of the transfer unit, when the controller reads out the image data. The controller regenerates the profile data if at least two pieces of the profile data satisfy a predetermined condition.

To accomplish this, an image containing a plurality of objects is displayed. Objects corresponding to a position designated on the displayed image are extracted (S3). Individual images corresponding to the extracted objects are laid out and displayed (S6). One of the individual images which are laid out and displayed is selected (S7). Image processing is executed for the selected object.

摘要： In an image retrieval apparatus, a desired image is recorded on a storage medium so as to correspond to an index image, and a recorded image is retrieved using an index image selected by the user. When recording an image on a storage medium or when retrieving an image from a storage medium, an index image can be assigned using a mark sheet on which a plurality of index images are printed. The image retrieval apparatus prints a mark sheet having a format corresponding to the number and the size of index images input by the user.

A main power source supplies electric power to the image forming device and thermal fixing device. A recording sheet detector detects whether the recording sheet is present on the recording sheet supplying portion and a sub-power source supplies electric power to the recording sheet detector. A main power source switch automatically activates the main power source when the recording sheet detector detects the presence of the recording sheet or an image formation signal is inputted. The image forming apparatus does not include a main power switch to manually control the main power source.
