    • A printing system includes a terminal apparatus and a printing control apparatus. The terminal apparatus includes a setting unit for setting a printing condition for a document, a generating unit for generating print data containing data of the document, setting data indicating the printing condition, and instruction information instructing to register the printing condition, and a transmitting unit for transmitting the print data. The printing control apparatus includes a storage unit for storing the printing condition and name information specifying the printing condition, a receiving unit for receiving the print data, a recognizing unit for recognizing that the print data contains the instruction information, and a registering unit for causing the printing condition indicated by the setting data to be stored in the storage unit if it is recognized that the print data contains the instruction information.

    • There is described a controlling method to be employed in a printing system that includes: a plurality of image forming apparatuses, each of which is capable of assigning a name to setting information in regard to a printing operation and also capable of registering the setting information in association with the name thereof; and a specific apparatus to be coupled to the plurality of image forming apparatuses. The method includes: acquiring plural sets of setting information, each of which is the setting information registered in each of the plurality of image forming apparatuses in association with the name thereof; determining whether or not at least two of the names assigned to the plural sets of setting information are cognominal; and displaying a message, indicating a fact that the same name is assigned to at least two of the plural sets of the setting information, when the names are cognominal.

    • The inventive developing apparatus 10 includes: a developing roller 15 rotating in a predetermined direction; a regulating blade 16 for regulating layer thickness of developer G1 on the developer roller; 15; and a supplying roller 17 disposed at the upper stream than the regulating blade 16 while the developing apparatus 10 rotates in the predetermined direction. Further, the developing apparatus 10 rotates the developing roller 15 in the reverse direction for the predetermined direction during a predetermined period. Thereby, agglomerates stopping at the space between the developing roller 15 and the regulating blade 16 escape therefrom and developer leak and defective supply of developer and the like are cleared away. While the developing roller 15 is rotated in the reverse direction, the agglomerates escaped from the space come to contact with the supplying roller 17 and are crashed by press of the developing roller 15 and the supplying roller 17. As a result, agglomerates escaped from the space between the regulating blade 16 and the developing roller 15 is prevented from stopping therebetween again and accumulating in developer.
