    • Provided is an apparatus for developing and verifying a system-on-chip for an Internet phone. The object of the present invention is to provide the system-on-chip developing and verifying apparatus for the Internet phone, which can develop and verify the system-on-chip simultaneously by integrating an Advanced RISC Machine(ARM) core module, a field programmable gate array (FPGA), a peripheral interface and the system-on-chip. The apparatus includes an ARM core module performing a core processor function, a peripheral interface including a memory and many external input/output devices, a FPGA controlling the ARM core module and performing a control function for connecting the ARM core module and the peripheral interface, and a system-on-chip integrating the functions of the ARM core module and the FPGA.

The wire/wireless Internet phone terminal using a wideband voice codec includes: a multimedia application processor for including a process core to perform a protocol according to a wire and wireless interface communication scheme and supporting wideband voice service; an Ethernet processing unit for connecting the multimedia application processor to the Ethernet to perform an Ethernet physical-layer function of and transforming a power input from the Ethernet to supply a driving power to the multimedia application processor; a PSTN (public switched telephone network) processing unit for connected to the multimedia application processor and a PSTN to emulate a telephone function; and a wireless processing unit for connecting the multimedia application processor to an AP (access point) in a wireless manner.     • A fixed mobile convergence (FMC) communication apparatus using a wideband audio codec is provided. The FMC communication apparatus includes an application processor which is capable of processing one or more wireless communication protocols and supports a wideband audio codec; a wideband audio signal input/output (I/O) unit which is connected to the application processor and processes the input and output of wideband audio signals; a mobile network access unit which is connected to the application processor and accesses a mobile communication network; and a wireless local area network (LAN) access unit which is connected to the application processor and wirelessly accesses an access point (AP). The FMC communication apparatus can access the base station of a mobile internet system or the base station of a mobile communication system. In addition, the FMC communication apparatus can access a Bluetooth device or an AP using a short-range wireless communication method. Moreover, the FMC communication apparatus can provide high-quality voice call services and various multimedia internet services by using a wideband audio codec.
