The fork member includes an upper pipe coupled to the steering stem, and a bottom pipe slidably coupled to the upper pipe and rotatably supporting the front wheel at a lower portion thereof. A damper member is provided between the bottom pipe and the vehicle body frame.

    • Disclosed is an attachment structure of a steering damper for a vehicle. The steering damper is provided between a top bridge and a head pipe. The top bridge rotates about a steering stem in conjunction with the operation of a handlebar, while the head pipe does not rotate in conjunction with the operation of the handlebar. In the attachment structure, in a state where the steering angle of the handlebar is zero, the axis of the steering damper forms an obtuse angle with the axis of a bolt to which an upper portion of the steering damper is attached.

    • A branch joint is provided at the rear portion of an exhaust pipe. The steering damper is mounted on the fork bridge and the head pipe. The steering damper dampens a steering directional movement transmitted from a road surface to a handlebar via the front wheel and the front fork. A lower mounting portion on a side of the head pipe is disposed on a side of an axis as a center of pivotal motion of the front fork relative to the fork bridge, more specifically, an upper mounting portion on a side of the top bridge. The resulting configuration reduces the size of a front portion of a vehicle and a steering damper.
