    • A circuit for generating a tracking error signal is provided. The circuit includes a digitized circuit, a short signal removing circuit and phase comparator. The digitized circuit receives first and second pick-up signals outputted from a pick-up head, and respectively compares the first and the second pick-up signals with a reference signal to obtain a first digital signal and a second digital signal. The short signal removing circuit is used for removing pulses in the first and the second digital signals, wherein the pulse width of the removed pulses are shorter than a preset time, and the first and second digital without the removed pulses are respectively served as a first determining signal and a second determining signal. The phase comparator receives the first determining signal and the second determining signal for outputting the tracking error signal according to a phase difference between the first and the second determining signals.

    • A key structure applicable in an electronic device for pressing an electrical button of the electronic device is disclosed. The key structure includes an annulus section for fixing the key structure in the electronic device, and a pair of key sections, each of which extends from the annulus section and has a protruding section and a retention section, wherein the protruding section protrudes out of an inner wall of the key section to prevent the key section from sinking, and the retention section extends from at least one side of the key section to prevent the key section from protruding upwards. With each key section being additionally provided with the protruding section and the retention section, the key structure efficiently prevents the key sections from protruding upwards and sinking.

    • Disclosed are a method and device of converting data words into code words. This method inserts 2p p guided bits before inputting each set of data words, performs a pre-defined operation, and generates 2p data sequences with different guided bits. It chooses q data sequences from the 2p data sequences for coding, performs a run length limited (RLL) coding with a coding rate m/n, and generates q (d, k) constrained code word sequences. Finally, an optimal (d, k) constrained code word sequence is selected from the q (d, k) constrained code word sequences. The device reduces the circuitry of the RLL coding applied guided scrambling without losing the control of direct current and low frequency components.

    • A disc drive carrier unit installed on an installation surface of a computer casing is proposed. The installation surface has at least a first positioning piece and a first fixation piece, and both are perpendicular to each other. The disc drive carrier unit has a frame for encompassing and securing a disc drive, a second positioning piece for engaging with the first positioning piece, and at least a second fixation piece for correspondently securing to the first fixation piece. The second positioning piece of the disc drive carrier unit has an engaging function to replace the partial locking design of the conventional technology, for ease of assembly/disassembly and reduction of the assembly cost.

    • An analog-to-digital conversion device and a method thereof are provided. The analog-to-digital conversion device includes a first level adjustment unit, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), and a linear range detection unit. The ADC converts a test signal or a first input signal to generate a test data stream or a first output data stream. In an adjustment mode, the linear range detection unit obtains a conversion curve of the ADC by using the test data stream and determines whether to adjust offset control information according to a linear range of the conversion curve. In an operation mode, the linear range detection unit continues outputting the offset control information. Additionally, before transmitting the first input signal, the first level adjustment unit adjusts a direct-current level of the first input signal according to the offset control information to allow the first input signal to be within the linear range of the conversion curve.
