    • The subject matter disclosed herein relates to systems, methods, apparatuses, devices, articles, and means for using filtering with mobile device positioning in a constrained environment. For certain example implementations, a method may comprise obtaining at least one position measurement of a mobile device and filtering the at least one position measurement to produce at least one filtered position of the mobile device. The at least one filtered position may be adjusted based at least in part on mapping information to produce at least one adjusted position of the mobile device, with the mapping information pertaining to a constrained environment that corresponds to at least a portion of an interior of a building structure. Other example implementations are described herein.

For certain example implementations, a method for a mobile device may comprise identifying an uncertainty of at least one estimate of a location of the mobile device. Signals to acquire that are transmitted from multiple transmitters for use in at least reducing the uncertainty of the at least one estimate of the location of the mobile device may be prioritized based, at least in part, on one or more characteristics associated with the multiple transmitters and at least one constraint on the at least one estimate of the location of the mobile device in accordance with a navigational path of the mobile device.     • A displacement device for mapping wireless signal fingerprints includes motion sensors and at least one of a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) sensor and a round trip time (RTT) sensor. The motion sensors may include a pedometer and one or more sensors to receive turn information. The start position of the displacement device is initialized and as the displacement device is moved through an environment, the position of each measurement location is determined using the initialized position and data from the motion sensors. The measurement position along with the RSSI and/or RTT measurement is stored in a database, from which a map can be generated. The position of the access point may be determined using the RSSI measurement or RTT measurement. Additionally, accumulated errors in the measurement position may be monitored and when greater than a threshold, a user may be prompted to reinitialize the position of the displacement device.

Feasible paths between grid point pairs of the multiple grid points may be determined. For a particular grid point of the multiple grid points, a count of the feasible paths that traverse the particular grid point may be determined. A likelihood heatmap for use in one or more navigational applications may be generated based, at least in part, on the count. Other example implementations are described herein.
