Briefly, in accordance with at least one implementation, a method may include transmitting a first message to a mobile device, the first message comprising abbreviated positioning assistance data; receiving a second message from the mobile device, the second message comprising an indication of a coarse location of the mobile device; and transmitting a third message to the mobile device, the third message comprising a detailed tiled radio heat map obtained based, at least in part, on the received indication of the coarse location of the mobile device.

摘要： A communication system enables a node to utilize multiple communication interfaces to connect to an overlay network. The use of multiple communication interfaces provides a redundant overlay network connection, thereby enabling a node to maintain connectivity or select a preferred connection to the overlay network, increasing efficiency or reducing costs in the overlay network. A network in which member nodes obtain services in the absence of server-based infrastructure is referred to as a “peer-to-peer overlay network” (or “overlay network” or simply “overlay”). Overlay networks consist of several nodes from hundreds, to thousands, joined together in a logical routing structure. Individual nodes often participate in routing and maintenance aspects of the overlay. Typically an overlay is formed through the enrollment and joining of all these nodes as defined by the overlay protocol. Nodes forming peer-to-peer overlay networks may communicate with each other over various network technologies.

Location-based data may be received responsive to the transmitting of the LCI, with the location-based data being associated with the LCI and pertaining to the localized environment. The location of the mobile device may be determined with respect to the localized environment based, at least in part, on the location-based data. Other example implementations are described herein.

According to one or more aspects, a computing device may receive a status update associated with a social networking service, and the status update may include haptic data. In at least one arrangement, first haptic feedback is provided to the user if the user is within a first group of users, and second haptic feedback different from the first haptic feedback is provided to the user if the user is within a second group of users different from the first group of users.
