摘要： An apparatus and method for supporting Peer to Peer (P2P) communication in a broadband wireless communication system are provided. A P2P zone within a frame used for the P2P communication includes at least one channel, each channel includes a broadcasting zone and a contention zone, and a P2P-mode transmit Mobile Station (MS) transmits a reference signal through a broadcasting zone of a channel to which itself belongs. The method MS includes determining an interference sum for each channel within the P2P zone, comparing the determined interference sums with each other, selecting a channel having the least interference sum, and transmitting information regarding the selected channel to a Base Station (BS).

摘要： An apparatus and method for allocating a channel and power by a Base Station (BS) in a communication system are provided. The method includes, performing one of a first scheduling, which uses inter-cell cooperation information received from at least one neighboring BS and a data rate received from each User Equipment (UE), and a second scheduling, which uses both an average data rate for each subchannel computed by accumulating the data rates for a preset time period and the inter-cell cooperation information, selecting a UE to be allocated each subchannel in each subframe based on results of the performed scheduling, computing a power metric for each of the selected UE and a non-selected UE by using the inter-cell cooperation information, the average data rate, an amount of performance change of the selected UE, and the results of the performed scheduling; and allocating power to all UEs including the selected UE and the non-selected UE by preset subframe periods by using the computed power metric.

The method includes detecting at least one of a loading value and a performance efficiency value by band, calculating a power distribution value by band using the detected value and calculating a power value by band using the calculated band power distribution value. In a transmission apparatus, a determiner determines a first frequency band for transmitting wireless resource allocation information to a terminal from among the frequency bands supporting the communication system, a MAP generator determines at least one second frequency band over which the terminal desires to receive a service and allocates wireless resources to the second frequency band, and a transmission unit transmits the wireless resource allocation information to the terminal over the first frequency band. In a reception apparatus, a reception unit receives wireless resource allocation information over a first frequency band determined by a base station and a MAP information decrypter determines at least one service frequency band included in the wireless resource allocation information. Accordingly, the method and apparatus dynamically allocate wireless resources to a terminal when multiple systems having backward compatibility coexist.
