    • In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure, an information handling system may include a processor, an input/output port communicatively coupled to the processor, and an access controller communicatively coupled to the processor. The an input/output port may be configured to receive an external input/output device and communicatively couple such input/output device to one or more information handling resources of the information handling system. The access controller may be configured to responsive to an attempted management operation at the information handling system, determine if an input/output device coupled to the input/output port is authenticated as a trusted input/output device. The access controller may also be configured to, responsive to determining that the input/output device is authenticated as a trusted input/output device, allow execution of the attempted management operation.

    • An information handling system includes a processor, an air moving system, a power system, and power demand reduction circuit. The air moving system is operable to cool the processor. The power system is operable to power the processor and the air moving system. The power demand reduction circuit is operable to detect a total power system power demand that will exceed a power system output capacity of the power system in response to a processor power demand from the processor and, in response, reduce an air moving system power provided to the air moving system such that the processor power demand will no longer cause the total power system power demand to exceed the power system output capacity. The air moving system power may be increased when a decrease in the processor power demand results in the two contributing to a total power system power that will not exceed the power system output capacity.

    • Methods and systems for connecting interchangeable input/output (I/O) modules having individual and shared personalities may include a generic I/O bay of a server hosting one or more compute nodes configured to be connected to one or more removable I/O modules. A first connector coupled to a first I/O module may connect the first I/O module to a compute node having a second connector. The first I/O module may be oriented about a first axis. The compute node may be oriented about a second axis. The first connector and the second connector may be capable of being connected in a plurality of orientations. In one embodiment the second axis may be orthogonal to the first axis, and the removable I/O modules may include shared I/O modules. In an embodiment the second axis may be parallel to the first axis, and the removable I/O modules may include individual I/O modules.
