    • Disclosed is a construction machine that enables an operator to operate a vehicle width changing control lever while visually confirming positions of crawlers. The construction machine includes a lower track structure 1 whose left and right crawler track devices 11A and 11B are adapted to change in spatial interval, and an upper swing structure 2 swingably mounted above the lower track structure. The construction machine further includes a hydraulically actuated cylinder for changing vehicle width, disposed between the left and right crawler track devices, the vehicle width changing cylinder changing the interval between the left and right crawler track devices upon supply and discharge of a hydraulic fluid being controlled by a vehicle width changing control valve, and a vehicle width changing control lever 34 disposed on a left section of a swing body support structure 50 relative to an operator's seat 23, the vehicle width changing control lever operating the vehicle width changing control valve.

    • Provided is a working machine, which can release exhaust gas at a position above a counterweight even if no space is secured for the installation of an exhaust pipe on an upperstructure or on an upper wall of the counterweight, and which can suppress heating of the counterweight by exhaust gas. The working machine is provided with a muffler (10) into which exhaust gas is guided from an engine, and a tailpipe (11) connected to the muffler (10). Defined through a counterweight (7) is a passage (7a) in which the tailpipe (11) is inserted. The working machine is further provided with an exhaust pipe holding member (12) and an exhaust pipe (13). The exhaust pipe holding member (12) is attached to an outer side wall of the counterweight (7), and has a passage (12a) which is in communication with the passage (7a) of the counterweight (7) and in which the tailpipe (11) is inserted. The exhaust pipe (13) is disposed and held upright on the exhaust pipe holding member (12), and has a lower part, in which the tailpipe (11) is inserted, and an upper part defining therein an exhaust outlet (13a) through which the exhaust gas guided via the tailpipe (11) is released.

    • A control valve block is mounted on a bottom plate of a revolving frame through a control valve block mounting plate. In this case, a left support member and a right support member are provided on a back surface of the control valve block mounting plate at two spots with equal distances sandwiching a center position of gravity (G) of the control valve block. The left and right support members are mounted on a support beam provided on the bottom plate of the revolving frame. On the other hand, a weight-reducing part is provided at a part in the bottom plate of the revolving frame away from the support beam. The control valve block which is a heavy article is stably supported on the bottom plate at two spots sandwiching its center position of gravity (G). Moreover, the weight of the revolving frame can be reduced by the weight-reducing part.
