摘要： An apparatus for mounting a hard disk drive unit and an optical disk drive unit to an electronic device includes a supporting bracket defining an accommodating space for the hard disk drive unit and the optical disk drives unit and a clip. The supporting bracket includes a connecting plate and a resilient latching member attached to the connecting plate and located within the connecting plate. The clip corresponds to the resilient latching member and is configured to be attached to the optical disk drive unit. The resilient latching member is switchable between a clip-locking position and a clip-unlocking position.

摘要： An arrangement to guarantee boot up of a computer includes a control center microchip with BIOS boot block and BIOS program, and a flash memory divided into a first protected block, a main block, and a second protected block. In the computer, an embedded controller (EC) with stored modules is electrically connected to the flash memory and the control center microchip. The modules include a determining module to check that the code of the first protected block is identical with the code of the second protected block and a recovery module able to reinstate correct code from the second protected block into the first protected block if required. A method applied to the disclosed computer startup detection system is also disclosed.

摘要： A heat dissipating system includes a wind tunnel, a first electronic element, and a second electronic element. The wind tunnel defines a top air inlet channel and a separated bottom, and a top air discharging channel and a separated bottom air discharging channel. Air entering the bottom air inlet channel dissipates heat produced by the first electronic element to the top air discharging channel, to flow out of the wind tunnel. Air entering the top air inlet channel flows to the bottom air discharging channel to dissipate heat produced by the second electronic element, this arrangement avoids heated air from one element being exhausted onto another element.

摘要： An electronic device includes a sensing unit, a first control unit, and a second control unit. The sensing unit detects a parameter of the electronic device when the electronic device is tilted and sends a detection signal if the detected parameter exceeds the critical parameter. The first control unit and the second control unit receive the detection signal from the sensing unit. If the first control unit receives the detection signal before the second control unit, the first control unit controls the mechanical hard disk to power off and controls a magnetic head on the mechanical hard disk to reset from a working position to an original position. If the second control unit receives the detection signal before the first control unit, the second control unit controls the magnetic head on the mechanical hard disk to reset from the working position to the original position.
