摘要： A system and method for controlling an appliance. The system including a plurality of sensing devices and a plurality of appliance control devices. The sensing devices being locatable in a selected area with each device wirelessly transmitting a first status message and a second status message. The plurality of appliance control devices have a wireless receiver that continuously monitors a transmission spectrum for wireless status messages. Each of the appliance control devices has a decryption device that decrypts any received encrypted messages and provides an ON and OFF output. The appliance control device provides one of the ON and OFF outputs upon receiving a first status message and the other of the ON and OFF outputs upon receiving a second status message.

摘要： A system and method for controlling an appliance are provided. The system includes a plurality of sensing devices and a plurality of appliance control devices. 摘要： A secure communications and monitoring system includes a control unit and a plurality of modules distributed in a region to be monitored. The control unit has an assigned identifier. When a module is installed in the system, the control unit transmits the identifier to the module, which stores the identifier. Before a module communicates with the control unit, the identifier is requested from the control unit. The identifier received from the control unit is compared to the stored identifier. The module will only communicate with the control unit where the identifier received at the module corresponds to the identifier stored at the module.
