摘要： A developer supply container includes a developer accommodating portion configured to accommodate a developer, a discharge opening configured and positioned to permit discharging of the developer from the developer accommodating portion, and a driving force receiving portion configured and positioned to receive a driving force. 摘要： A developer supply container is detachably mountable to a developer receiving apparatus, which includes a driving gear. The container includes a developer containing portion; a rotatable discharging member provided in the containing portion to discharge the developer when the container is positioned at a developer discharging position; and a drive receiving member engageable with the driving gear for rotating the discharging member; a regulating portion for regulating a mounting attitude of the container relative to the apparatus so as to prevent an engagement between the drive receiving member and the driving gear, and thereafter the drive receiving member is revolvable in a setting direction to a set position where the drive receiving member is engageable with the driving gear. The drive receiving member is loaded to retard the rotation thereof so as to rotate the container from the set position to the developer discharging position in the setting direction by a rotational force received by the drive receiving member from the driving gear.

摘要： With a structure in which gear trains 5, 6 of a developer supply container 1 are locked by a locking member 7, and the gear trains 5, 6 receive a drive from a gear 12 of a developer receiving apparatus 10, thus accomplishing automatic setting rotation of developer supply container 1, when the developer supply container 1 is once dismounted and then remounted, the locking member 7 is in a non-locking position, and therefore, the setting rotation of the developer supply container 1 cannot be effected automatically.With inserting operation of the developer supply container 1, an inducing portion 7c of the locking member 7 is pushed and raised by a guide portion 10j provided in a groove portion of the developer receiving apparatus 10, so that locking member 7 effects its locking operation. Therefore, upon completion of the insertion of the developer supply container 1, the gear trains 5, 6 are locked by the locking member 7, and therefore, the setting rotation of the developer supply container 1 can be properly effected.

摘要： Conventionally, the developer in the developer supply container is discharged by an air-supply pump and a suction pump which are provided in the main assembly side of the image forming apparatus, and therefore, the developer is compacted by the increase of the internal pressure of the developer supply container resulting from the air-supply. Therefore, the proper suction of the developer from the developer supply container becomes difficult with the result of shortage of the developer amount to be supplied.A bellow-like pump is provided on the side of the developer supply container, and the pump alternately repeats the suction operation and the discharging operation through the discharge opening by a driving force inputted from the image forming apparatus side. By this, the developer can be sufficiently loosened, thus properly discharging the developer.

摘要： If a user is not familiar with the operation for a developer supply container, the rotating operation for the developer supply container may be insufficient, so that developer supply container does not reach a predetermined operating position, with the result of abnormal developer supply. By increasing a rotation load of a second gear which is in an operable connection with a drive gear member of the developer receiving apparatus by a function of a locking member, the developer supply container mounted to the developer receiving apparatus is rotated toward the supply position. After the developer supply container rotates to the supply position, the locking by the locking member is released, by which the rotation load applied to the second gear is reduced, so that drive transmission, thereafter, to the feeding member for developer supply is smooth.
