摘要： Provided are a developer storage container in which a large change of a developer distributed state due to a backward movement of a moving wall is restrained and an image forming apparatus provided with the developer storage container. A toner container includes a container body, a moving wall and a shaft. The moving wall includes a first wall portion and a second wall portion. When the shaft is rotated in a first rotating direction, the second wall portion presses the first wall portion, whereby the second wall portion moves in a first direction integrally with the first wall portion. When the shaft is rotated in a second rotating direction, the second wall portion relatively moves to an upstream side in the first direction with respect to the first wall portion.

摘要： A toner cartridge includes a toner container that contains a toner, an auger screw, a toner discharge port, a shutter, an internal opening/closing valve and a stirring paddle. The internal opening/closing valve is provided as a member for closing the toner discharge port, in addition to the shutter. The shutter is fixed to a position at which the toner discharge port is always opened in a state where the toner cartridge is mounted in the image forming apparatus. The internal opening/closing valve is provided at a position facing the toner discharge port of a driving side end of a rotation shaft of the auger screw. The internal opening/closing valve is composed of a rectangular sheet member having flexibility, and closes the toner discharge port by blocking the entire toner discharge port.

摘要： A development device includes a development roller, a developer storage, a first rotating member, a second rotating member, and a rotation speed adjuster. The development roller carries a developer containing non-magnetic toner and magnetic carrier. The developer storage stores the developer. The first rotating member is provided in the developer storage at a position near the development roller. The second rotating member is provided in the developer storage at a position farther from the development roller than the first rotating member is. The first rotating member and the second rotating member agitate and convey the developer stored in the developer storage to supply the agitated developer to the development roller. The rotation speed adjuster adjusts a rotation speed of the second rotating member depending on an amount of new toner supplied to the developer storage.

摘要： In a method or device for dosing toner material in an electrophotographic printer or copier, toner material is introduced into at least one bucket chamber rotatably arranged in an opening at a bottom of a toner reservoir. The bucket chamber has a paddle wheel which seals the opening of the toner reservoir. As the paddlewheel rotates, toner material in the bucket chamber is conveyed into a region. The toner material conveyed from the paddlewheel is further conveyed with a screw conveyor. Also a toner reservoir is provided having a toner removal opening shaped to accommodate at least a portion of a paddlewheel.
