    • A secure decentralized storage system provides scalable security by addressing the performance bottleneck of the security manager and the complexity issue of security administration in large-scale storage systems. The storage system includes: an application client for accessing a file system using a plurality of storage devices and transmitting a command to a storage device; a storage device for storing data and access control entries associated to the data, analyzing the command from the client and performing corresponding operations of the command; a metadata server for storing and managing metadata, such as location and length information of data and system configuration; and a security manager for storing and managing global access control entries and policies of the system and performing the access policy and privilege control according to the global access control entries and policies, such as changing the priority and inheritance rule of access control entries, adding and deleting the access control entries.

    • One embodiment relates to an apparatus configured to efficiently group a set of strings into clusters of related strings. Data storage is configured to store computer-readable code and data, and a processor is configured to access the data storage and to execute said computer-readable code. Computer-readable code is configured to receive the set of strings, determine an evaluation function between pairs of strings in said set, and group the strings into clusters, wherein determining the evaluation function between pairs of strings utilizes hash tables. Another embodiment relates to a computer-implemented method of efficiently grouping a set of strings into clusters of related strings based on rules of inference. Other embodiments and features are also disclosed.

    • A method for processing handover state information, a mobile access gateway (MAG), and a mobile node (MN) are disclosed. The method includes: receiving a handover state notification message, where the handover state notification message includes interface handover indication information; determining a handover indication option value according to the interface handover indication information; and generating and sending a proxy binding update (PBU) message, where the PBU message includes the handover indication option value. With the present invention, a MAG can obtain the handover state information of an MN through the interface handover indication information of the MN. The application scope is wide, and the access success probability is increased; therefore, the access quality of service (QoS) provided for the user is improved.
