    • There is provided a first device for use in a communication system, the communication system further comprising a plurality of second devices, the system having a plurality of orthogonal frequency carriers available for transmissions, each second device having a respective carrier frequency offset estimated from signals received from the first device, each of the second devices transmitting a respective stream of symbols using the respective estimated carrier frequency offset and one or more frequency carriers selected from the plurality of orthogonal frequency carriers, the first device comprising receiver circuitry for receiving respective signals from each of the second devices; a channel estimator for generating, from the received signals, an estimate of the channel over which the signals have been transmitted; an interference estimator for generating, from the received signals, an estimate of interference at the first device caused by errors in the carrier frequency offsets estimated by each second device; and circuitry for equalising the received signals using the estimate of the channel and the estimate of the interference.

    • A radio terminal (10) includes: an MIH user (14) for managing mobility from a first network to a second network; and an MIH function unit (13) for controlling handover from the first network to the second network. The MIH function unit (13) notifies a link control unit (12) of a condition setting request including a first judgment local formula as a condition for starting setting of the second network and the radio link and a second judgment logical formula as a condition executing a handover from the first network to the second network. The first judgment logical formula and the second judgment logical formula indicates a combination of threshold values to be satisfied by a plurality of radio parameters in the first network and the established radio link.

    • A wireless communication device includes a battery voltage monitoring section, which monitors the amount of decline in output voltage when a network connection section is connected to a wireless communication network to which the wireless communication device should be connected based on a communication, request; and an operation control section, which selects fewer wireless communication networks than the wireless communication device should be connected to based on the communication request if a predicted voltage calculated by subtracting the amount of decline from the output voltage is less than or equal to a predetermined threshold, and connects the network connection section to the selected one or more wireless communication networks. Based on the amount of decline, the operation control section selects one or more wireless communication networks so that the predicted voltage exceeds the predetermined threshold.
