摘要： A head-up display includes: a display projecting light; a reflection part reflecting the light; a supported part disposed on the end of the reflection part and including a cylindrical shaft; a support, through which the shaft passes, rotatably supporting the supported part; and an elastic member which has a U-shape cross-section and in which a hole is formed in one end section and a spherical-surface protrusion protruding towards the hole is formed in the other end section that passes through the center axis of the hole. With the supported part supported by the support, the distal end of the shaft passes through the hole, the distal end-side inner circumferential edge of the shaft abuts the protrusion, and the inner surface of the one end section and that of the other end section of the elastic member cause the supported part and the support part to press against each other.

摘要： Provided is a head-up display (HUD) device capable of effectively preventing damage to a liquid-crystal display device due to entry of exterior light. A HUD device has a liquid-crystal panel, and is provided with a liquid-crystal display device for realizing a transparent display using light from a backlight, a control means for controlling the liquid-crystal display device, and an optical system for reflecting the display light outputted by the liquid-crystal display device onto a windshield. A flat mirror constituting the optical system allows infrared rays of incident light to pass behind the mirror and reflects the visible light. The HUD device is provided with an infrared-ray sensor positioned behind the flat mirror, and the control means reduces the brightness of the light of the backlight or extinguishes the backlight when the strength detected by the infrared-ray sensor exceeds a predetermined threshold.

摘要： A head-up display device makes it possible to increase the number of common parts between when mounted in a right-hand-drive car and when mounted in a left-hand-drive car. A head-up display device includes: a first unit which generates display light; and a second unit to which the first unit is attached, and which displays a virtual image by guiding the display light generated by the first unit to a windshield. With this constitution, the strip-shaped protrusion parts prevent the scattered light (SL) resulting from the light (L) output from the display unit from illuminating the bottom surface of the anti-washout light shielding part, thereby preventing the bottom surface from being displayed as a virtual image.

This head-up display device, which reflects display light output from a display unit with a reflection unit so as to produce an image to be viewed, includes a first supporting part for supporting the reflection unit rotatably about a rotation axis and a first supported part provided at one end of the reflection unit and supported by the first supporting part. The first supported part has a spherical surface formed thereon, and the first supporting part has a sliding surface that is formed therein and is in substantially point contact or line contact with the spherical surface formed on the first supported part. A first elastic member that presses the first supported part and the first supporting part against each other in the rotation axis direction is provided.
