    • A roll control actuator (34) for installation between first and second axially aligned parts (14,16) of a torsion bar (12) has a cylindrical housing (36) connectable by an end wall (38) to the second part of the torsion bar. A rod (40) is positioned inside the housing, extends out of the other end (42) of the housing, and is connectable to the second part of the torsion bar. A cylindrical inner sleeve (46) is positioned inside the housing between the housing and the rod; and the housing, the rod, and the inner sleeve are coaxial on an axis (A), with the rod being rotatable about the axis relative to the housing. The actuator further has securing means (35,37,44) for securing the rod and the housing together to substantially prevent relative axial movement, first linking means (48,50,52) disposed between the housing and the inner sleeve and generating rotational movement of the housing about the axis on axial movement of the inner sleeve, and second linking means (54,56,58) disposed between the inner sleeve and the rod, generating rotational movement of the rod about the axis on rotation of the sleeve about the axis and allowing axial movement of the inner sleeve relative to the rod. Control means (66,68) are associated with the inner sleeve to control the relative rotational movement between the rod and the housing.

    • A real time monitoring and control system (101) interfaces with service supply entities such as SMSC, MSC, GGSN, SGSN, and IP probe entities. A data manager (104) maintains account resource data associating each of a plurality of accounts with one or more services, in which at least one account is associated with a plurality of services. Each account may have multiple pots, each associated with a type of resource such as bytes, packets, or time. A session manager (102) monitors concurrent service usage in real time and generates messages or control instructions for account modification and for account resource re-allocation across services in real time according to service usage. The session manager (102) dynamically re-distributes available account resources to sessions as the sessions occur, including resource re-allocation during a plurality of sessions including scalar and event-based sessions.

    • An electrical-cable transition, where two or more bundles of shielded cables divide from a shielded main bundle, is shielded from electromagnetic interference by a flexible shielding-element of bare or covered metal mesh wrapped round the transition to overlap or be overlapped by shielding of the branch bundles and interconnect electrically with it under straps. The flexible element may be an end-pad of wrapped shielding of the main bundle that envelops the shielded branch bundles and is closed onto them. Alternatively, it may be a separate shielding element that is clamped by a clip or strap onto the shielding of the main bundle to sandwich folded-tags drawn out from the ends of the branch-bundle shields, onto a metal ring or collar through which the main-bundle cables pass before separating into the branch bundles. The separate element is closed tightly onto the individual branch bundles by draw-strings, ties or other fasteners.
