In case the current location of the mobile communication terminal within the geographic area cannot be determined, attempting to establish a direct connection with a neighboring mobile communication terminal over a short-range wireless communication channel; obtaining from the neighboring mobile communication terminal information about available radio access networks; and attempting to establish a connection to the radio communication network through a selected one of the available radio access networks specified in the information obtained from the neighbor mobile communication terminal.
