摘要： The toner cartridge is provided with: a toner storing container of a rectangular shape having a toner feeding opening in an angular portion of the toner storing container; a stirring conveying member that is disposed so as to rotate in a predetermined rotation direction in the toner storing container and stirs and conveys toner in the toner storing container toward the toner feeding opening; a waste toner storing container that stores reclaimed toner; and a partition member that is held by the toner storing container, partitions between the toner storing container and the waste toner storing containers and has a bearing portion axially supporting a rotating shaft of the stirring conveying member and extending into inside of the waste toner storing container. The toner stored in the toner storing container has an average value of a shape factor (SF1) of about 130 or less.

摘要： The invention provides an electrophotographic toner having at least: a binder resin, a coloring agent, and an alkali metal salt of polyethylene oxide.The invention further provides an electrophotographic developer having the electrophotographic toner, a process cartridge having a developer bearing body which accommodates the electrophotographic developer, and an image forming apparatus having a toner image forming member that forms a toner image on a recording medium by using the electrophotographic developer and a fixing member that fixes the toner image by heating and pressurizing or by photoirradiation. The processing speed in image formation using the image forming apparatus can be about 1,000 mm/sec or more.

The carrier has cores and a coating resin including an electrically conductive material on the surface of each of the cores. The coating resin has an inner portion and an outermost portion, and the outermost portion is made of a cross-linked resin. The content of the electrically conductive material in the outermost portion is lower than that in the inner portion. The toner has toner mother particles, and, on the surface of each of the toner mother particles, inorganic particles and resin particles, and the resin particles are made of a non-cross-linking resin.

Toner is used in which the ratio of the component measured by GPC to have a molecular weight between 500 to 1000 is 10 parts by weight or less with respect to 100 parts by weight of the entire toner. Since the case of clogging of the HEPA filter is the 500 to 1000 molecular weight component, clogging of the filter is prevented by reducing this component.

摘要： A method for nonmagnetic monocomponent development is intended for use in an electrophotographic copying machine or electrophotographic printer and is capable of producing highly durable prints of high quality during continuous printing operations. In the nonmagnetic monocomponent development, a developer is transported by a development roller to a photoconductor drum. A Doctor blade triboelectrifies the developer and simultaneously regulates the thickness of a layer of the developer. As the developer, a toner is used, which toner is produced by coagulating minute particles having a diameter between 0.1 and 3.0 .mu.m and then heating the minute particles, thereby thermally fusing these particles.

A compound such as ammonium fluoride, a ferroelectric substance, a high molecular substance (fluorine resin) with an equivalent work function of 4.10 or greater, etc. are effective. The chargeability of the photoconductor is improved. The construction is best suited for the rear photorecording process, but is also effective in other types of contact charging recording systems.
