摘要： The present invention provides a method for producing a toner for electrostatic-image development comprising: a dispersing step of performing a dispersing treatment in which a cavitation effect is obtained on a color resin particle containing a binder resin, a colorant, a charge control agent, and a release agent in an aqueous dispersion medium so as to obtain a dispersion of the color resin particle; and a heating step of performing a heat treatment on the dispersion of the color resin particle at a temperature of equal to or more than a glass transition temperature of the color resin particle and 95° C. or less for a heating time of 5 minutes or more and 10 hours or less.

A softening point temperature of the first toner, as measured by differential scanning calorimetry, is higher than a softening point temperature of the second toner, as measured by differential scanning calorimetry.

摘要： Embodiments of the present invention are concerned with a method for producing a binder resin composition, from which a toner having excellent low-temperature fusing property, heat-resistant storage stability, durability, and image density is obtained, a binder resin composition, and a toner for development of electrostatic images including the binder resin composition.
Embodiments according to the present invention are concerned with the following [1] to [3].

[1] A method for producing a binder resin composition including the following steps (1) and (2):

step (1): mixing an aromatic alcohol A1 including an alkylene oxide adduct of bisphenol A and at least one carboxylic acid compound selected from fumaric acid and maleic acid; and
step (2): further adding an aromatic alcohol A2 including an alkylene oxide adduct of bisphenol A to the mixture obtained in the step (1) and mixing, wherein
the binder resin composition includes a polyester resin having an acid value of 14 mgKOH/g or more and 30 mgKOH/g or less, and a total content of fumaric acid and maleic acid is 700 ppm by mass or less relative to the binder resin composition; and
in the steps (1) and (2), a total amount of fumaric acid and maleic acid is 95 parts by mol or more and 105 parts by mol or less on the basis of 100 parts by mol of a total amount of the aromatic alcohol A1 and the aromatic alcohol A2.

[2] A toner for development of electrostatic images, including the binder resin composition obtained by the production method as set forth in [1].
[3] A binder resin composition including a polyester resin that is a polycondensate of an alcohol component including an alkylene oxide adduct of bisphenol A and a carboxylic acid component including at least one carboxylic acid compound selected from fumaric acid and maleic acid, wherein

the polyester resin has an acid value of 14 mgKOH/g or more and 30 mgKOH/g or less, and
in the binder resin composition, a total content of fumaric acid and maleic acid is 700 ppm by mass or less relative to the binder resin composition, and a total amount of fumaric acid and maleic acid is 95 parts by mol or more and 105 parts by mol or less on the basis of 100 parts by mol of a total amount of the alcohol component.

摘要： There is provided a toner for developing electrostatic images, including an external additive and colored resin particles containing a binder resin, a colorant and softening agents. The colored resin particles contain a monoester compound A represented by formula (1) and a monoester compound B represented by formula (2) as softening agents. A content of the monoester compound A is in the range from 95 to 99% by mass, a content of the monoester compound B is in the range from 1 to 5% by mass, and a content of the softening agents is in the range from 10 to 30 parts by mass, with respect to 100 parts by mass of the binder resin. Formula (1) is R1—COO—R2. Formula (2) is R3—COO—R4.

摘要： Toner particles of a toner contain a non-crystalline polyester resin, a crystalline polyester resin, a styrene-acrylic acid-based resin, and an ester wax. The crystalline polyester resin has a repeating unit derived from an acrylic acid-based monomer and a repeating unit derived from a styrene-based monomer. The styrene-acrylic acid-based resin has a repeating unit derived from an acrylic acid-based monomer having an amino group and a repeating unit derived from a styrene-based monomer. An amino group ratio in the styrene-acrylic acid-based resin is at least 40% and no greater than 60%. The toner has a storage elastic modulus of at least 1.00×105 Pa and no greater than 5.00×105 Pa at 90° C. The ester wax has a melting point of at least 60° C. and no higher than 80° C. A dispersion diameter of the ester wax in the toner particles is at least 500 nm and no greater than 1,000 nm.
