摘要： Method and arrangement for enabling a UE (User Equipment) to access a WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network). The UE detects a need for the UE to access the WLAN. Furthermore, the UE creates an ARC (Association Reason Code) based on the detected need, and sends the ARC to a WLAN node of the WLAN, such that the UE is thereby enabled to connect to the WLAN in accordance with the ARC. By implementing functionality in a UE to create an association reason code and send the association reason code to a WLAN node, an operator of a communication network will be able to influence and control connection of the UE to the WLAN node. Thereby, the operator will be able to effectively make use of installed communication resources.

摘要： A method for controlling IP flow mobility is performed in a communication network comprising 3GPP and non-3GPP access networks, wherein a UE has an IP flow mobility PDN connection set up towards the communication network. The method comprises triggering sending to the UE, a number of IP flow specific RAN assistance parameter values for controlling the UE to route an IP flow of the IP flow mobility PDN connection either over the 3GPP access network or the non-3GPP access network. The IP flow specific RAN assistance parameters may be threshold parameters setting a limit for when to route an IP flow to the 3GPP access network or when to route the IP flows to the non-3GPP access network.

In particular, the disclosure relates to handover preparation procedure to improve handover of a wireless device (20) connected to a first radio access network (11) arranged to operate according to a first radio access technology to a second radio access network (12) arranged to operate according to a second radio access technology. The handover preparation procedure includes the sending of a handover prepare message (S47) from an access node (30) of a first radio access network to a connected wireless device (20). The wireless device prepares for handover by means of preparation signaling (S48) to access points of one or more second radio access networks indicated in the handover prepare message. The wireless device (20) informs the access node (30) upon concluding the handover preparation. Actual handover is ordered by means of a handover message (S52).

摘要： Embodiments herein relate to a network node for handling a Radio Access Network, (RAN) context information of a wireless device in a cell served by the network node in a wireless communications network. The network node stores the RAN context information of the wireless device when the wireless device is no longer in a connected state in the cell. When the wireless device has returned to a connected state in the cell, the network node receives information indicating a RAN context information from the wireless device. Also, the network node transmits, to the wireless device, information indicating that the wireless device is to use the indicated RAN context information in the cell when the indicated RAN context information is such that it can be reused with the RAN context information of the wireless device previously stored by the network node. Embodiments of the network node are also described.

The wireless device is connected to a first network element via a second network element. The second network element and the wireless device are communicating over a first wireless link. Network functions are split between the first network element and the second network element. The method performed in the wireless device comprises transmitting (2110) a request for a connection to a third network element which is a candidate network element for establishing DC, transmitting (2120) information identifying the first network element to the third network element, and transmitting (2130) an identifier of the wireless device to the third network element, for enabling the establishment of dual connectivity for the wireless device. The disclosure also relates to the methods performed in the network elements, and to the corresponding apparatus.

摘要： Embodiments of systems and methods relating to a cellular communications network and Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) integration/aggregation are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a base station of a cellular communications network comprises obtaining one or more Allowed Wireless Local Area Network/Unlicensed Band Solution (AWUBS) indications from a core network of the cellular communications network. The one or more AWUBS indications are indicative of one or more AWUBSs allowed for a particular User Equipment (UE). The method further comprises using one of the one or more AWUBSs with respect to the UE. In this manner, the base station is enabled to obtain an indication(s) of the AWUBS(s) allowed for the UE and then use only an allowed AWUBS for that UE.

The ANQP information is received via the cellular interface from a node in the cellular network. The communications network includes a radio access network including a base station serving a user equipment, and a wireless network including wireless access points. The network entity transmits the wireless access point information via base station to the user equipment. The wireless access point information may include rules or conditions for use by the user equipment in determining an available wireless access point to access.
