    • A system and method is provided for performing an access network discovery and selection function in a communication system. An access network discovery and selection function (“ANDSF”) server is operable with a Third Generation Partnership Project (“3GPP”) radio access network and a Wireless Fidelity (“Wi-Fi”) radio access network coupled to a core network. The ANDSF server is configured to communicate with a user equipment over an enhanced S14 interface. The enhanced S14 interface comprises Wi-Fi radio access technology data including a basis service set (“BSS”) load indication, security information, quality of experience information, backhaul network bandwidth and average throughput. The ANDSF server is also configured to provide policy information to the user equipment based on conditions in the Wi-Fi radio access network and the 3GPP radio access network.

    • A method for handling Circuit Switched Fallback from a Packet Switched domain includes receiving an indication that Circuit Switched Fallback is supported from an eNodeB located within the Packet Switched domain. The method also includes registering to a Circuit Switched domain associated with Circuit Switched Fallback by tunneling Circuit Switched Registration information, via the eNodeB, to the Circuit Switched domain, thereby enabling the User Equipment to setup a Circuit Switched call or receive a Circuit Switched page. The method also includes receiving a Circuit Switched specific parameter setting from the eNodeB. The Circuit Switched specific parameter setting includes decoding information to facilitate decoding of transmissions in the Circuit Switched domain. Additionally, the method includes, after receiving the Circuit Switched specific parameter setting, switching from the Packet Switched domain to the Circuit Switched domain and using the decoding information to access the Circuit Switched domain.

    • Cooperating nodes, and methods therein, for mobility procedures in a wireless communication system supporting UE groups. One of the cooperating nodes is a base station being associated with a UE group comprising UEs having correlated mobility related parameters. The method in the base station comprises receiving, from a first UE in the UE group, a mobility related parameter associated with the first UE. The method further comprises determining whether to initiate a mobility related procedure for a second UE in the UE group based on the received mobility related parameter; and further comprises initiating the mobility related procedure for the second UE when it is determined that the mobility related procedure is to be performed. Thereby, prediction and decisions related to mobility events, e.g. handover events, for the second UE or for the whole group may be performed e.g. before or without receiving any mobility information related to the second UE, thereby enabling early prediction and better preparation, which can lead to more robust mobility procedures.
