    • An inverted vehicle comprises a first sensor that detects an angular speed around an axis inclined from a pitch axis by a first predetermined angle, a second sensor that detects an angular speed around an axis inclined from the pitch axis by a second predetermined angle, a third sensor that detects an angular speed around the pitch axis, an acceleration detection unit that detects accelerations along the axes, and a control unit that performs the inversion control based on the detected angular speeds. A control unit puts a specific safety function in motion based on a mutual relation among a first angular speed around the pitch axis calculated based on the angular speeds detected by the first and second sensors, a second angular speed around the pitch axis detected by the third sensor, and a third angular speed around the pitch axis calculated based on the detected accelerations.

    • According to one embodiment, an apparatus for discriminating speech/non-speech of a first acoustic signal includes a weight assignment unit, a feature extraction unit, and a speech/non-speech discrimination unit. The first acoustic signal includes a user's speech and a reproduced sound. The reproduced sound is a system sound having a plurality of channels reproduced from a plurality of speakers. The weight assignment unit is configured to assign a weight to each frequency band based on the system sound. The feature extraction unit is configured to extract a feature from a second acoustic signal based on the weight of each frequency band. The second acoustic signal is the first acoustic signal in which the reproduced sound is suppressed. The speech/non-speech discrimination unit is configured to discriminate speech/non-speech of the first acoustic signal based on the feature.

The logarithmic frequency spectrum has a frequency element at equal intervals along a logarithmic frequency axis. A logarithmic frequency spectrogram is calculated by connecting a plurality of logarithmic frequency spectrums. A value of the frequency element along a straight line on the logarithmic frequency spectrogram is voted onto a Hough plane. The Hough plane has a voted value in correspondence with a gradient of the straight line. The voted value above a threshold and the gradient corresponding to the voted value are extracted from the Hough plane. A fundamental frequency change is calculated using the voted value and the gradient extracted.
