    • An information processing apparatus (100) includes a main unit (110) including a keyboard and having a generally rectangular major surface, and includes a display device (130) including a display screen and having a generally rectangular major surface. A bottom of the major surface of the display device can be selectively placed in a first position in which the bottom extends substantially along a first side of the major surface of the main unit, and a second position in which the bottom extends substantially along a second side of the major surface of the main unit that is substantially perpendicular to the first side. The information processing apparatus (100) further comprises power supply and information communications connectors in the main unit on a third side of the major surface of the main unit that is opposite and substantially parallel to the second side. The connector is connectable through another connector on a car docking station.

    • An information processing apparatus comprises a display device and a touch panel disposed in front of the display device.     • A voltage conversion circuit is provided for efficiently converting the voltage of a DC power source into a lower voltage in accordance with load currents of voltage converters.     • An information processor such that interfaces mounted in the side faces of the main body of the information processor can be effectively used, and the connectability of an expanded device is excellent. The information process comprises a main body having a built-in function unit in its case and an interface unit provided in a side face of the main body. In the side face of the main body in which the interface unit is provided has an interface attachment part to which the interface unit is attached and an expanded device receiving part capable of receiving at least one expanded device. The interface unit has a one-piece appearance integrated with the case of the main body when the interface unit is attached to the interface attachment part. When an expended device is received in the expanded device receiving part, the expanded device is held between the interface unit and the side face of the main body.
