    • The systems and methods of the invention provide a workflow system for processing a financial application in an automated manner. The workflow system may include an interface portion, the interface portion inputting application information into the workflow system for processing by the workflow system and a workflow looping portion. The workflow looping portion may include performing underwriting processing to effect underwriting of the application based on the application information, performing issue processing to effect issue of the application, and performing settlement processing to effect settlement of the application. A rules logic portion may be provided to control the implementation of rules applied to the processing of the application as the application passes through the automated processing. The performing underwriting processing, performing issue processing and performing settlement processing are each performed in an automated manner to constitute automated processing of the application, such that the automated processing includes the performing underwriting processing, performing issue processing and performing settlement processing.

    • The invention relates to a risk based testing method. The risk based testing method comprises defining a process or system to be tested, identifying a plurality of risks associated with the process or system, quantifying each of the risks with a risk value, defining a test plan for the process or system, the test plan including a number of test cases, wherein testing of the test cases is prioritized based on the risk value, and executing the test plan. The invention also relates an article of manufacture. The article of manufacture comprises a computer useable medium having computer readable program code means embodied therein for testing a process or a system. The computer readable program code means in the article of manufacture comprises: computer readable program code means for causing the computer to receive and store data identifying a plurality of risks associated with the process or system; computer readable program code means for causing the computer to receive and store a risk value associated with each of the plurality of risks; computer readable program code means for causing the computer to receive and store data defining a test plan for the process or system, the test plan including at least one test case, the at least one test case comprising at least one step; computer readable program code means for causing the computer to receive and store data associating each of the plurality of risks with a step of a test case; and computer readable program code means for causing the computer to generate a report listing the risks in order of the risk value.

    • An apparatus, method and system are provided for message-based intelligent tandeming of an incoming call to an application node in telecommunication systems. The various embodiments utilize a new parameter, referred to as a tandem parameter, to designate whether incoming calls to a particular subscriber are to be tandemed to an application node or are to be delivered directly to the subscriber. The preferred system embodiment includes an adjunct network entity, a database, and a switching center. The adjunct network entity, such as a service circuit node or service control point, has one or more application nodes or platforms, supporting various telecommunication services such as prepaid services, calling party pays services, and one number services. The database, such as a home location register or visitor location register, stores information such as subscriber profiles, and includes storing the tandem parameter. The switching center, such as a mobile switching center, is configured to receive an incoming call leg directed to a called party directory number, to transmit a first message to the database to determine call treatment instructions, and to receive from the database a second message containing a tandem parameter. When the tandem parameter does not indicate tandeming, the incoming call leg is routed to the called party directory number, and when the tandem parameter does indicate tandeming, the switching center obtains a routing parameter and performs digit analysis of the called party directory number. The switching center, when the digit analysis has been performed successfully, tandems the incoming call leg to the application node, and when the digit analysis has not been performed successfully, provides an individually configured default mode for the incoming call leg.

    • An apparatus, method and system are provided for intelligent tandeming of an incoming call to an application node in telecommunication systems.
