摘要： A job may be divided into multiple tasks that may execute in parallel on one or more compute nodes. The tasks executing on the same compute node may be coordinated using barrier synchronization. However, to perform barrier synchronization, the tasks use (or attach) to a barrier synchronization register which establishes a common checkpoint for each of the tasks. A leader task may use a shared memory region to publish to follower tasks the location of the barrier synchronization register—i.e., a barrier synchronization register ID. The follower tasks may then monitor the shared memory to determine the barrier synchronization register ID. The leader task may also use a count to ensure all the tasks attach to the BSR. This advantageously avoids any task-to-task communication which may reduce overhead and improve performance.

摘要： A macro eNB (MeNB) triggers a small cell (eLA eNB) to transmit a sequence on a second frequency band using a triggering command that indicates a time to transmit the sequence. On a first frequency band the MeNB triggers at least one user equipment UE to detect the sequence on the second band, and this trigger also has a first indication of when the sequence will be transmitted. From a second indication the MeNB receives on the first band from the at least one UE in response to the triggering of the UE the MeNB can determine whether the UE is located proximate to the small cell. The indication may be as little as a single bit indicating whether the UE detected or not the sequence. The first and second bands may be on first and second component carriers that may not be synchronized to one another, and the aperiodic nature of the triggered sequences and detection reports saves UE power.

Using the BFI (bad frame indicator) to determine whether a current received speech frame is erroneous or not. If the current received speech frame is not erroneous, determining if the BFI_FACTOR is less than one and if so incrementing the BFI_FACTOR. If the BFI indicates an erroneous frame, determining if the BFI_FACTOR is above a minimum value and if so decrementing the BFI_FACTOR. Finally, the current speech signal is multiplied by the BFI_FACTOR and played to the user.
