    • The present invention has an object to provide an event importance adjustment device which is able to extracting events which reflect a course of video contents, and to extract events in correlation thereto to allow thereby extracting scenes which reflects the course of the video contents. The event importance adjustment device in accordance with the present invention comprises a digest scenario information storing unit that manages a digest scenario information indicative of an extraction condition and an extraction order of an event specific to presentation of the course of the video contents as well as an importance adjustment point of the event, and a scenario importance adjusting unit that inputs event information with importance containing the events each indicative of a phenomenon in the video contents and the importance of the events, and situation information indicative of a situation of the video contents to extract an appropriate event based on the digest scenario information so as to adjust the importance of the event.
