    • The disclosure provides a particle separator for removing aerosolized particles from exhaust emissions from a preconditioner or other apparatus. The separator comprises an enclosure with at least two baffles linearly spaced from one another therein. At least two baffles prevent the exhaust from linearly flowing directly from an inlet through the separator to an outlet. Each baffle is positioned at an angle relative to the linear flow of exhaust into the separator and a distance from an inner surface of the separator. This places a leading edge within the exhaust flow to redirect a portion of the flow, thereby promoting impact of particles on a portion of the inner surface of the separator, while also providing a surface that collects particles in the flow that impact the baffle surface. The separator and baffle surfaces can be cleaned through an access. The separator can be box- or tube-shaped or other configuration.

    • A dough depositing machine adapted for use in the manufacture of non-traditional baked goods and methods related thereto. Non-traditional dough (e.g., gluten-free, wheat-free, dairy-free, egg-free, vegetarian, or vegan dough) may have properties that are more difficult to accommodate during manufacturing than the properties of traditional dough. Accordingly, various components of the dough depositing machine may be adapted to operate with non-traditional dough. For example, at least one of a dough delivery mechanism, a forming portion, a cutting assembly and a controller of the dough depositing machine may be adapted for use with non-traditional dough. These components of a dough depositing mechanism may be provided as originally manufactured equipment or may be retrofit to an existing dough depositing machine designed for use with traditional dough.

    • A dough extruder for extruding a dough material includes an extrusion section with a piston that is telescopically movable within a hollow piston support toward a barrier disposed at an end of the piston support. The barrier includes apertures that facilitate extrusion of dough material by the piston through the bather. The dough extruder further includes a handle section including a handle and a plurality of gear members coupled to the handle and to the piston, where the handle is movable with respect to the piston support, and a base to support the extrusion section and the handle section. The gear members couple with the handle and piston to facilitate movement of the piston away from the base and toward the bather when the handle is moved in a direction toward the base.

    • A plant for the automatic production of baked goods using a dough strand has a kneading device to knead dough from prepared starting products. An extruder is used to extrude the dough to form the dough strand. A portioning device is used to divide the dough strand into dough strand portions of a predetermined weight. A post-preparation device is used to finish the baked goods from the dough strand portions. The post-preparation includes the supplying of the dough strand portions to associated receivers in at least one transporting mould, fermenting the dough strand portions in the transporting mould and baking the fermented dough strand portions. The result is a production plant with an increased throughput in the production of baked goods and simultaneously a plant outlay which is as low a possible.

    • The invention is directed to semi-solid food product metering devices that typically have two counter rotating feed rollers with ends to entrain the semi-solid food product and has an at least one actuating device. The two feed rollers have two roller end plates at each end of the feed rollers, one being at a distal end of the rollers and the other at a proximal end of the rollers relative to the at least one actuating device with an at least one support bar. The feed rollers make a positive seal with the end plates. The semi-solid food product metering device of the invention has an open position and an operating position where the at least one support bar supports the two roller end plates in position while in the operating position and operating the semi-solid food product metering device, and allowing for lateral movement of the end plates away from the ends of the feed rollers to allow access to the gap between the feed roller ends and the roller end plates in the open position.
