摘要： A device is disclosed to assist in making a customized intraoral positioning device IPD to be positioned within a mouth of a patient in accordance with a prescribed radiation therapy treatment plan for a head and/or neck of the patient, the prescribed radiation therapy treatment plan including an incisor separation and/or tongue position of the patient, the device comprising: a base unit configured to be positioned between upper and lower arches in the patient's mouth, wherein the base unit includes an arch section for incisor separation in a deployed configuration in the patient's mouth and first and second arms that extending from the arch unit; a handle extending from the base unit to enable a user to grasp the device so that the user may introduce and remove the device from the patient's mouth; and one or more bite blocks configured on the arch section of the base unit so as to increase the height of the arch section in accordance with the incisor separation of the prescribed radiation therapy treatment plan, to thereby enable a user to obtain records of the position for dental and oral structure within the patient's mouth including a relationship between the upper and lower arches at the prescribed incisor separation.

摘要： An examination device for use with a mobile device comprises a housing removably coupled to the mobile device. The housing may be coupled to the mobile device by a rear surface, opposing side surfaces, a top surface, and a retention lip that extends over the front of the mobile device. A retention structure may be mechanically coupled to the housing and may also define a rectangular slot. A tongue depressor may be retained by the retention structure and may also extend away from the rectangular slot. A cutaway may be defined by a wall of the housing. The cutaway may be positioned on the housing to expose a camera of the mobile device facing towards the end of the tongue depressor. The examination device is configured to manipulate an oral feature of a mouth while the camera of the mobile device captures an image of the mouth.

摘要： Mouth protector device with tongue depressor, comprising a first cover (1) for protecting the lip and the teeth of the upper jaw and a second cover (2) for protecting the lip and the teeth of the lower jaw, both covers being connected and articulated in relation to each other by an opening and locking regulator (3), which holds the patient's mouth open for the introduction of exploration or operating instruments through the oral cavity, wherein the second cover (2) has a through groove (4) for the insertion of a semi-rigid tongue depressor (5) which depresses and holds back the tongue. The first (1) and second (2) covers further comprise side extensions (6) for protecting the row of premolars and molars and at least one tape (7) for connecting the rear ends thereof, said tape passing around the rear part of the patient's head, in order to provide the device with increased stability.

摘要： A method is disclosed of making a customized intraoral positioning device to be positioned within a patient's mouth for radiation therapy planning and treatment of a head and/or neck of the patient, the method comprising: receiving a prescribed treatment plan using the customized intraoral positioning device, wherein the treatment plan includes a prescribed incisor separation and/or tongue position of the patient for intended treatment; creating impressions of the patient's upper and lower arches of the patient's mouth; introducing a registration device into the patient's mouth to position the upper and lower arches at the prescribed incisor separation, so as to enable a model of the patient's upper and lower arches to be registered; creating models of the patients upper and lower arches based upon the impressions of the patient's upper and lower arches; digitizing the models of the patient's upper and lower arches; assembling the models of the patient's upper and lower arches on registration device; and digitizing the assembly of the models on the registration device so as to obtain a relationship between the upper and lower arches at the prescribed incisor separation.

A post extending inward from the front half band locks the suction straw in place.
