摘要： A device configured to exercise facial and neck muscles and related methods are provided. The device operates by applying static and/or dynamic external forces to the muscles of the modiolus area of the face and related ligaments. The device includes a pair of bars that may be connected by a rotatory connection or by an expandable horizontal connection, each having a proximal and distal end. The proximal end of each bar includes a modiolus holder. The modiolus holders are shaped to partially fit within the user's mouth, and when fit to the modiolus area by the separation of the bars, brings the modiolus holders in tight contact with the modiolus area. This movement secures the insertions of the muscles attached at the modiolus, allowing these muscles to be stretched, therefore creating resistance to their contractions.

The front portion of the bottom side of the mouthpiece is configured to fit over one's lower row of teeth, while the upper side of the depressor is configured to fit under one's tongue. The hinging means is configured to connect the rear portions of both the depressor's lower side and the mouthpiece's top side. The resistive element is configured to enable the depressor to apply a resistive force to one's tongue when one pushes down with the bottom of one's tongue on the top side of the depressor so as to force it down toward the mouthpiece's top surface.

摘要： An oro-facial exerciser apparatus for exercising and training the muscles of the lips and cheeks of a user's face, utilizes a pair of legs that are pivotally connected together to pivot between a substantially closed together state and a splayed apart state. The legs each have a proximal end proximate the pivot and a distal end remote from the pivot having a mouth mounting formation to mount the distal end to a respective opposing location of the user's mouth and the exerciser further has a resilient biasing means between the legs to bias them towards a splayed state and thereby provide a resistance force against which the user's lips and/or cheeks press in use for exercising and training the muscles. The resilient biasing means are demountably mounted on the legs, enabling them to be replaced with an alternative biasing means for altering the resistance.

摘要： The present invention relates to apparatuses and methods for exercising the facial muscles. Specifically, the present invention relates to a series of apparatuses that may be placed against or behind a user's lips, on a user's face, under a user's chin, and/or against a user's neck. As a user performs exercises with the present invention, the corresponding facial muscles become more strengthened and toned. Toning the muscles in one's face helps to reduce wrinkles, sagging, and expression marks that have developed over time. In addition, exercising of the neck region helps strengthen the soft palate that may be useful for snore prevention or singing. The apparatuses and methods described herein may be utilized for rehabilitation for stroke victims, individuals with speech impediments and other speech pathology, may increase collagen production in the lips, and may be utilized to increase blood flow to the neck, throat and face.
