摘要： A saturated layer stormwater filtering system with down-flow layered multimedia filters is disclosed. The filtering system may include an upflow pretreatment chamber and a subsequent filtration chamber. It also includes a snorkel pipe as an adjustable head control or internal baffles. The system incorporates gravity powered partially saturated stormwater media filters to harness the potential energy of stormwater from downspouts and pumped flows from stormwater catchments to drive the polluted stormwater in a hydraulically controlled fashion by gravity through a series of filter media layers.

A pretreatment device of seawater is used in removing salt from the seawater to obtain freshwater, and includes: a supply duct (21) through which the seawater is to be supplied; a plurality of filters (16) including a particulate filtering material and a biofilm; connecting tubes (23) which connect the plurality of filters in series; a plurality of bypass tubes (24) each of which connects corresponding one of the plurality of filters to the supply duct; and a plurality of regulating valves (26) each of which is disposed in corresponding one of the plurality of bypass tubes to regulate a flow rate.

The cap is coupled with the other end of the plurality of cartridges, enclosing the fluid treatment assembly, which is configured to be received in a cavity of an appliance. The cartridges of the plurality of cartridges may be individually replaced with cartridges to meet customized needs.

The upstream filter may be positioned to receive effluent from the application unit and to filter solid components from the effluent. The resultant upstream effluent filtrate may then be passed downstream to the downstream filter. The downstream filter may be used to filter an antimicrobial component from the upstream effluent filtrate and the resultant downstream effluent filtrate may be suitable for disposal as wastewater discharge. The antimicrobial is preferably a quaternary ammonium compound, is more preferably an alkylpyridinium chloride, and is most preferably cetylpyridinium chloride.

摘要： An oriented structure for treating a fluid, comprising an inlet end for receiving a fluid to be treated and an outlet end opposite the inlet end and from which a treated fluid is discharged, the fluid being allowed to flow into the structure from the inlet end to the outlet end defining a flowing direction. The oriented structure comprises a juxtaposition of layers of porous material having a different porosity, each layer spanning from the inlet end to the outlet end of the structure whereby in use the layers are oriented generally parallel to the flowing direction of the fluid. The oriented structure is designed so to better control the different biological and physical phenomena related to the accumulation or exchange processes taking place in the structure.

The control valve can also be adjusted to make the water current to come in through the water inlet, go up to the middle filtration container through the external sleeve, spring up to the top filtration container, accumulate in the internal sleeve and flow down to the water outlet to perform a semi-reverse washing. The other feature of this water filter is the function of performing reverse operation of the water current.
