摘要： An apparatus line for manufacturing seamless steel pipes and tubes includes: a heating apparatus for heating a steel raw material; a piercing apparatus for piercing the heated steel raw material thus forming a hollow material; and a rolling apparatus for applying working to the hollow material to form a seamless steel pipe having a predetermined shape. A cooling apparatus is arranged on an exit side of the rolling apparatus. A heated steel raw material is worked by the rolling apparatus after being pierced by the piercing apparatus, and thereafter, using a surface temperature of a hollow piece before being cooled by the cooling apparatus as a cooling start temperature, the hollow piece is cooled to a cooling stop temperature differing by 50° C. or more from the cooling start temperature and being equal to or above 600° C. at an average cooling speed of 1.0° C./s or more in terms of an outer surface temperature.

摘要： A hot-rolled steel sheet is cooled by jetting cooling water from spray nozzles to a steel sheet conveyance region in a width direction of the steel sheet conveyance region. The steel sheet conveyance region is a region that the hot-rolled steel sheet occupies on conveyor rolls, a pair of spray nozzles is arranged on both lateral sides in the width direction of the steel sheet conveyance region, and a plurality of spray nozzle pairs are aligned in a conveyance direction of the hot-rolled steel sheet. In regard to a collision region of cooling water jetted from the spray nozzle at the steel sheet conveyance region, a far end in a jet direction is positioned at an end of the steel sheet conveyance region, and a near end is positioned on an inner side of the steel sheet conveyance region. In the spray nozzle pair, the near ends of two collision regions coincide in the width direction to form a meeting.

摘要： A discontinuous manufacturing process performs at least one processing step on a web of material unwound from a roll, applies an indicator code to the unwound web of material for indicating at least one finishing step the web of material is to be subjected to, rewinds the web of material having the indicator code on another roll and then transfers the rewound web of material to a remote finishing facility. At the remote finishing facility, the web of material is again unwound and transported towards a finishing station. The indicator code on the web of material is read at the finishing station and then directed to a location where an appropriate finishing step is performed on the web of material prior to it being rewound on a roll to form a product roll.

With the mass of the sum of the first component, the second component, and the third component as 100 mass %, the anti-seizure agent contains: 96.5 mass % or more and 99.98 mass % or less of the first component; 0.01 mass % or more and 2.0 mass % or less of the second component; and 0.01 mass % or more and 1.5 mass % or less of the third component, and the inorganic component is one or more selected from a group consisting of Al2O3, SiO2, CaO, B2O3, K2O, and Na2O. A coating layer formed after application solidly adheres to the steel and does not come off in the environment of both cold and hot working.

Direct and controlled spray cooling of the hot-formed rod is obtained by wide-angled nozzles having solenoid-operated valves responsive to the exit temperature of the rod which is monitored by a photopyrometer whereby the volume of coolant is controlled to obtain a uniform finishing temperature of the rod.
