    • A below plate coolant recovery and waste separation system is provided for a combined machining and thermal metal plate cutting machine A trolley structure is located underneath a table supporting a fume chamber and coolant tray. The trolley is movable both in the X axis, and in response to the location of the cutting tools which move with the gantry along the rails to be positioned over the table and plate to be cut, during use in cutting the plate such that the coolant or cutting fluid is captured and reused and kept separate from the cutting waste. The trolley structure is suspended under the cutting table and includes a chamber for movably supporting at least one fume extraction chamber and at least one tray for receiving and removing coolant, whereby the coolant recovery and waste separation system movement is synchronised with the cutting tools by the machine control system.

    • A cutting device for a mill plate including a cutting tool supported for movement in a Y-direction and cutting in a Z-direction, and a conveyor for conveying a mill plate in the X-direction.     • A large machining apparatus for working a substantially planar workpiece such as a metal plate in relation to which a set of work actions, such as machining grooves and holes, is required at one of a number of work zones on or in the workpiece, the apparatus including: a working assembly such as a drop down drill movably mounted on a beam for reciprocal linear movement along a first horizontal axis extending parallel to the longitudinal axis of the workpiece; and an assembly rail movably mounted on the beam at right angles to the beam to carry the working assembly. The apparatus further includes: an immobilizing base mounted on the rail for reciprocal linear movement along the assembly rail in the direction of a second axis and a clamping base mounted on the immobilizing base and adapted to be clamped onto the workpiece to locate the working assembly at a predetermined one of said work zones; and a movable base mounted on the assembly rail for limited reciprocal linear displacement along the assembly rail in the direction of the second axis relative to the immobilizing base. The working assembly is mounted on the movable base to enable limited linear displacement of the working assembly in the second axis direction in the predetermined work zone.

    • A multipurpose plate burner system is presented where a collection of components may be selected in combination to configure the system to achieve one of a selection of purposes. A combination selected from supports, pivots, pivot arms, trammel points, and wheels support a shaft over a workpiece. The cutting nozzle of a torch is supported by one of a selection of torch nozzle receptacles, providing for a range of perpendicular or angled cutting edges. The shaft supports the selected torch nozzle receptacle. Additional components may be optionally selected, such as a saddle support fitted on the shaft for supporting the torch tool and additional torch leveling supports. Depending on the combination of components selected, the plate burner system may be configured to cut circles with or without beveling, cut in obstructed locations, such as corners, cut along track lines, or perform protractor and other marking functions.

    • A water table with a work support arrangement for a metal workplate for use with a burning machine. The water table includes a water-holding tank, a frame positioned in the top of the tank, and a cutting gantry carrying a burning machine with is movable relative to the tank. First and second support gantries are mounted on opposite sides of the cutting gantry. Each support gantry carrries a movable plate support mechanism comprising a cantilever arm with an electromagnet for contacting the upper surface of a workplate. Intermediate plate support members for contacting the lower surface of a workplate positioned on the frame. The two plate support mechanisms may be moved to contact the upper surface of the workplate, and control means are provided for moving the plate support mechanisms relative to the cutting path of the burning machine.
