摘要： Loopback rolls which can transfer and guide a polishing tape (T) in a tangential direction of a pressure contact roll (R) is provided, a top edge face (RG1) and a tapered peripheral edge (RG) having a pair of slant edge faces (RG2) are formed on a periphery of the pressure contact roll, by both of which the polishing tape can be bent into a substantially V-shape in cross section, and a switchable pressure contact mechanism (7) is switchably provided which pressure contacts each of bent portions (T) of the polishing tape, which is bent into the substantially V-shape in cross section by the tapered peripheral edge to one tooth face (B1) or the other tooth face of a bottom land (B) of a worm (W).

摘要： A finishing device includes a finishing belt, a finishing belt holding device, a first drive configured to rotationally drive a workpiece about a workpiece axis, and a second drive configured to oscillate the workpiece and the finishing belt relative to another along the workpiece axis. The finishing belt holding device has a holding section configured to hold a portion of the finishing belt. The portion has an active area configured to finish a circumferential workpiece surface. The portion extends in a plane which is vertical when referring to the direction of gravity and extends in a horizontal direction when referring to the direction of gravity and when viewing in the running direction of the finishing belt. The finishing device includes a workpiece holding device defining a workpiece holding axis which is vertical when referring to the direction of gravity.

The pressing element (5) is fastened to the two bearings, and the two bearings are arranged in such a manner that finishing tape is pressed against a circumferential surface (2) by the pressing element (5) across a contact angle (4) using a pressing force. The pressing device (1) is adjustable in order to process work piece sections (3) of different diameters. The pressing element may be a toothed belt (5) having tooth-like ribs (8), and the toothed belt (5) is interlockingly mounted in the support element (6) using the tooth-like ribs (8).

摘要： A belt grinding finishing tool incorporates a pair of mounting arms projecting forwardly from a drive housing to support a single abrasive belt entrained around drive and idler pulleys. The first mounting arm is positionally fixed relative to the drive housing, but the second mounting arm is pivotally mounted to permit relative pivotal movement thereof. The dual mounting arm configuration enables a tubular member to be placed between the mounting arms to effect a finishing of opposing sides of the outer surface of the tubular member simultaneously. A support housing detachably mounted on the drive housing includes a support handle that can be selectively connected to alternative attachments mounts formed on the support housing. An actuation lever extending outwardly from the second mounting arm permits the operator to cause pivotal movement of the pivoted second mounting arm to accept the tubular member to be finished between the mounting arms.
