摘要： A film forming apparatus includes a die device which extrudes a molten resin in a tube shape to form a film and a controller which controls the die device. The die device includes an inner peripheral member which defines an inner periphery of an annular discharge port, an outer peripheral member which surrounds the inner peripheral member and defines an outer periphery of the discharge port, and an adjustment portion which applies a load to at least one of the inner peripheral member and the outer peripheral member to elastically deform the at least one of the inner peripheral member and the outer peripheral member and change a radial width of the discharge port. The controller controls a thickness of the film with the load applied by the adjustment portion.

摘要： Disclosed apparatus and method to extrude a honeycomb, providing correction in bowing of the extruded honeycomb structure, employs a deflector device having a base plate including an opening aligned in a direction parallel to the extrusion axis through which the plastic material is conveyed to the die. The deflector device includes a bow plate movably mounted to the downstream or upstream side of the base plate. The bow plate includes a constant area aperture. The deflector device positioned upstream of extrusion die imparts a degree of bow reduction by the position of the constant area aperture over the opening imparting a pressure drop gradient on the flow stream entering the die.

摘要： A system is disclosed for use in manufacturing a composite structure. The system may include a support configured to move in a plurality of directions during manufacturing of the composite structure, and a head coupled to the support. The head may have a housing that is configured to receive a liquid matrix and at least one continuous fiber and configured to discharge a tubular structure. The head may also have a nozzle operatively connected to the housing and configured to deposit a material layer onto a surface of the tubular structure as the tubular structure is discharging from the housing, and a squeegee associated with the nozzle and configured to wipe over the material layer. The head may further have a first cure enhancer operatively connected to the housing and configured to cure the liquid matrix in the tubular structure during discharge, and a second cure enhancer configured to cure the material layer deposited by the nozzle.

The device is configured for extruding hollow strands of thermoplastic material and with which changing the wall thickness of the hollow strand emerging from the annular die is also possible. This is achieved by the mold chamber having an inner mold body, the inner and outer mold bodies being arranged coaxially in relation to the annular die and, by axial and/or radial adjustment in relation to each other, forming an annular gap between them for changing the cross section and/or the wall thickness of the hollow strand emerging from the annular die.

In this way, any dispensing tool, depending on the wish of the customer, can be operated with different profiling devices, in particular, on the one hand, to carry out profiling by mandrel body movement or profiling by nozzle body movement.

The die further includes an extended orifice shaped as a thin walled tube formed around the orifice, and a second adjustment structure located at a tip of the orifice to distort the orifice for maintaining uniform flow of extrudate, and a plurality of segments are located around the orifice to uniformly distribute the load of the second adjustment structure on to the outer circumference of the orifice.
