摘要： The present invention is directed to a method of manufacturing a fibre-reinforced polymer composition comprising the steps of providing at least one multifilament strand comprising a plurality of continuous fibre filaments, applying an impregnating agent to said strand to form an impregnated continuous multifilament strand, and embedding the impregnated continuous multifilament strand in a thermoplastic polymer material for providing said fibre reinforced polymer composition, wherein said impregnating agent has a low viscosity at application temperature and is applied by jetting said impregnating agent onto the at least one continuous multifilament strand. The invention is further directed to a device for use in such a method.

摘要： A webless corrugated dual wall foundation drain which is constructed as a hollow rectangular tubular member with an inner corrugated wall formed of HDPE and an integral outer smooth wall formed of the same material. The outer smooth wall of the foundation drain is attached to and integrally formed with the corrugations of the inner corrugated wall through a coextrusion process, thereby significantly enhancing the vertical beam stiffness of the foundation drain and eliminating the need for an internal supporting web.

摘要： An edge-emitting light bar assembly for a vehicle includes a light-transmitting, edge light-diffusing optical fiber and an at least partially light-transmitting extruded or pultruded coating surrounding the optical fiber to provide a single-layer coated optical fiber. At least one light source is provided for emitting light rays to impinge on an end of the optical fiber. A housing connected to an end of the coated optical fiber and surrounding the at least one light source is provided. The light bar assembly may include a light source disposed at each opposed end of the optical fiber. The single layer coating may include one or more of a colored tint or dye, a frosted material, and a plurality of light reflective or refractive inclusions. Optionally, a portion of the single-layer coating includes an opaque material disposed to direct emitted light rays in a predetermined direction relative to the optical fiber.

The channels may be used for cables, such as fiber optic cables, coaxial cables, electrical cables, electrical wiring, and the like. Each divided conduit provides channels that allow e.g., cables to be pulled through without snagging or excessive heat build-up due to friction. In addition, the divided conduits do not allow contact or alternation losses between adjacent cables in other channels of the conduit.

The laminates may be fabricated by hardenable fluids, for example, polymers that are directed along flow paths to divide, repossession, and combine streams to provide the desired laminated structure. The flow divisions and recombination may be practiced repeatedly wherein laminates have tens or even tens of thousands of individual layers may be produced. The polymers used may have comparable viscosities, for example, having viscosity ratios of less than 3. Though aspects of the invention may be used packaging, aspects of the invention may be applied to any field where laminated structures are desired.

The strips from the sidewalls of reinforced tires can be used as tie-down cords with “S” hooks or other attachment devices. 摘要： The invention describes a flexible tubular article for transport of volatile hydrocarbons comprising: (a) an inner layer of a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU); (b) an intermediate ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) or EVOH/TPU blend or an EVOH/ethylene-acrylate blend layer extruded in tubular form over the inner TPU layer, and (c) a TPU extruded in tubular form over the outside surface of the intermediate layer and being coextensive therewith. Optionally, a fourth outer layer is included and covers layer (c). The tubular articles of the invention have a maximum permeation rating of 15 g/m2/day under SAE J1737 test conditions.
