    • An extrusion molding machine has a main extrusion molding device, and a drive mechanism connected to the main extrusion molding device. The drive mechanism has a motor device, a transmission case, and a drive shaft connected to the motor device. The drive shaft passes through the transmission case. The main extrusion molding device has an upper feed inlet, a lower chamber, and a gear mechanism therein. The gear mechanism has a first pinion, a second pinion engaging with the first pinion, a third pinion engaging with the second pinion, a main gear engaging with the first pinion, a fourth pinion engaging with the main gear, a fifth pinion engaging with the fourth pinion, a sixth pinion engaging with the fifth pinion, and a seventh pinion engaging with the sixth pinion. The main gear encloses the drive shaft.

    • The present invention aims at improving balance and uniformity of a tire, with simplifying facilities, reducing space for the facilities and suppressing shape flows and generation of air bubbles. An extruder is provided for supplying rubber ribbon immediately after extrusion to a second molding drum, so that the rubber ribbon is spirally wound around the second molding drum plural times to structure a portion of tread (a cap layer), whereby the rubber ribbon which is relatively hot and soft is wound around the second molding drum. As a result, the rubber ribbon easily deforms compliant to the second molding drum. Further, no joint portion of starting and terminal ends as is observed in the prior art exists, whereby thickness of the tread is even in the circumferential direction.

    • A gear pump includes a housing with a drive shaft projecting out through an opening in the housing to rotate a plurality of gears. A shaft seal is fixed to the housing, and includes a cylindrical, one piece (unitary) body with an internal annular core having a central circular passage with one or more reverse internal helical or spiral grooves. The central passage closely receives the drive shaft and the groove(s) provide a pumping function as the drive shaft rotates to prevent fluid leakage along the shaft. The body of the shaft seal includes a plurality of discrete, radially extending recesses opening along an exterior annular side surface of the shaft seal and arranged in circumferentially-spaced relation to one another. An annular cooling chamber entirely and continuously circumferentially surrounds the internal core and is fluidly connected with the radial recesses to provide passive conductive cooling for the shaft seal.

    • A plastic material extruder combines the features of a generally flat rotatable disc and a generally flat opposed stator. At least one of the two is heated by heating elements. The two define a processing gap into which a hopper for feeding a plastic material mixture is discharged. The rotor and the stator develop a high shear force which further heats up the processed mixture in addition to the heating delivered by the heating elements. At the center of the disc/stator assembly, an axial force developing device such as a ram or a feed screw or screws is adapted to further compress and extrude a mixture of the thermoplastic components and thermosetting components, the latter being comprised of crumbled pieces of used tires. The extruder is shown in two embodiments, one injecting the processed alloy into a mold, the other producing pellets of the processed alloy.
