摘要： A non-pneumatic tire assembly includes a non-pneumatic tire. The non-pneumatic tire includes an inner circumferential ring and an outer circumferential ring defining an annular space and a cylindrical space inside the inner circumferential ring. A plurality of partitions connect the circumferential rings within the annular space. A ground-contacting tread is located on the outer circumferential ring. A rim, including a plurality of pieces, is located within the cylindrical space. The non-pneumatic tire assembly further includes a hub that is removably connected to the rim.

The intersection of each lateral face with the contact face forms a ridge. The tread also includes a plurality of cutouts each defined by opposing main faces. Each tread pattern element is formed with at least one base mix. As viewed in section in a plane containing the thickness of this tread, at least one face defining at least one cutout is formed at least in part with a covering mix. The base mix exhibits a gripping action on wet ground which is lower than a gripping action of the covering mix on the same ground.

The tread belt has a pair of lateral ends each axially extending beyond the inflated unloaded carcass 14 at the circumferential surface by a distance of at least 4% of the width as measured at the tread belt 12 and carcass 14 interface. The carcass 14 has an abrasion resistant rubber layer 82A at the tread belt interface. The tread belt 12 also has the abrasion resistance tread compound 82B at the carcass 14 interface.

摘要： The invention relates to a tire having a rubber tread of a cap/base configuration composed of a composite of a silica-rich tread cap layer running surface, and an underlying transition zone composite of a carbon black-rich intermediate layer positioned between the tread cap layer and a tread base layer. The combination of intermediate layer and base layer provide a beneficial graduated stiffness between the tread cap layer and the tire carcass. Significantly, the transition zone composite enables a significantly thicker carbon-black rich portion of the tread composite and an associated thinner silica-rich tread cap running surface. In one aspect, the intermediate layer of the transition zone composite can extend to and include a bottom portion of at least two of the grooves of said tread cap layer to support an associated tread lug therebetween.
