摘要： A hingeless ventilator comprises a frame defining two openings surrounded by a seating rim, which is surrounded by a door recess. A pair of upright sleeves is disposed between the openings, and each upright sleeve defines an exterior track surface. A door is disposed to face the outer surface of the frame and has a main body configured to be selectively positionable to cover and uncover both of the openings and defines a lip surrounding the periphery thereof and extending generally perpendicularly to the main body. Two door struts connected to the door extend through the frame openings and hold a handle that has rollers that are biased against the exterior track surfaces of the sleeves.

摘要： A ventilation system is provided for a transportation vehicle having a passenger cabin with an interior trim surface. A stationary duct segment receives an inlet air flow and has a stationary outlet hidden behind the interior trim surface. A telescoping duct segment has a sliding inlet sealingly coupled to the stationary outlet so that it slides on the stationary outlet between a retracted position and an extended position. The telescoping duct segment has a movable outlet arranged to provide a variable flow cross section to the passenger cabin that increases as the telescoping duct segment slides from the retracted position to the extended position. A trim hood provides a portion of the interior trim surface and is movable with the telescoping duct segment. The trim hood has a pivot axis at an end of the trim hood remote from the movable outlet.

A motor is mounted on one side of the casing to generate a normal direction torque and a reverse direction torque and a first fan is disposed on one side of the flow channel to be connected to an output shaft of the motor and to be rotated. A second fan is disposed on one side of the first fan to be fixedly mounted in the shaft and to be rotated. Additionally, a variable connecting unit that connects the first fan to the shaft of the motor is rotated when the motor is rotated in a normal direction and has a torque of the shaft of the motor not to be transmitted to the first fan when the motor is rotated in a reverse direction.

摘要： A supplemental air distribution system for a motor vehicle includes comprising one or more supplemental ducts for directing ambient air from an exterior of the motor vehicle to a passenger cabin interior. The one or more supplemental ducts each include an actuable door for allowing and preventing airflow. Cooling air is supplied from the one or more supplemental ducts to the passenger cabin interior via dash panel ducts and one or more register outlets. Advantageously, the one or more supplemental ducts bypass at least the vehicle heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) evaporator and blower assembly of the vehicle, preventing absorption of heat and moisture therefrom by the ambient air prior to entering the passenger cabin interior. Methods and HVAC systems for distributing ambient air to a motor vehicle passenger cabin are described also.
