    • A wiper of a vehicle wiper device moves between a first position, which is a stop position, and a second position. A first pivot member is pivoted back and forth about a first axis by a drive force of a drive source. A second pivot member is pivotal about a second axis. A coupling pivot member is coupled to the first pivot member pivotally about a third axis and the second pivot member pivotally about a fourth axis. The wiper is coupled to and pivoted integrally with the coupling pivot member. A third position is located between the first position and the second position. A line extending through the third axis and the fourth axis is parallel to a line extending through the first axis and the second axis when the wiper is in a first movable range between the first position and the third position.

    • A windshield wiper control system includes a movable element configured to move in a first direction and an opposing second direction and one or more actuation devices configured to cause the movable element to move in the first direction. The windshield wiper control system also includes a rotatable cam configured to cause the movable element to move in the opposing second direction when the rotatable cam contacts a stationary surface as the rotatable cam rotates about a cam axis and a wiper mechanism configured to move in the first and second directions and pivot in an arc motion responsive to the rotation of the rotatable cam. The wiper mechanism is further configured to cause the one or more windshield wipers to move across a surface of a windshield in a more linear motion than the arc motion of the wiper mechanism.

    • The invention relates to a method for adjusting a wiping angle (φ1, φ2) between a park position and a reversal position (28, 30) of a wiper lever (16, 18) of a windshield wiper system for a motor vehicle with at least one wiper lever (18) whose park position or reversal position (30) runs approximately parallel to an A pillar (14) of a vehicle body, which laterally delimits a windshield (10), wherein the wiping angle (φ2) is adjusted by means of an eccentric ball pivot (60), which is arranged on a free end of a driving crank (54) and connects the same to a motor crank (52) in an articulated manner by means of an articulated rod (42), while the other end of the driving crank (54) sits on a drive shaft (56) in a rotationally fixed manner, said drive shaft driving a fastening part (58) of the wiper lever (18). It is proposed that the windshield wiper system is first mounted on the vehicle body without the eccentric ball pivot (60), that a rivet journal (64) of the eccentric ball pivot (60) is then inserted into a corresponding bore hole of the driving crank (54), that the optimum wiping angle (φ2) is determined and adjusted by modifying the effective radius (78) between an articulation axis (66) of the eccentric ball pivot (60) and an axis (76) of the drive shaft (56) by rotating the eccentric ball pivot (60) around an axis (68) of the rivet journal (64), and that finally the rivet journal (64) is fixed in the driving crank (54) in the adjusted position.
