One of the methods includes repeatedly selecting control settings for the environment based on (i) a causal model that identifies causal relationships between possible settings for controllable elements in the environment and environment responses that reflect a performance of the control system in controlling the environment and (ii) current values of a set of internal parameters; and during the repeatedly selecting: monitoring environment responses to the selected control settings; determining, based on the environment responses, an indication that one or more properties of the environment have changed; and in response, modifying the current values of one or more of the internal parameters.

The agricultural work machine includes a driver assistance system, which comprises a memory for storing data, a computing device for processing the data stored in the memory, and a graphical interface. The computing device graphically displays an operating data field via the graphical interface, which represents a display range for a first operating parameter, and the current value for the first operating parameter in the operating data field. The computing device evaluates the first operating parameter over a portion of the display range according to an evaluation criterion that relates to a second operating parameter, evaluates the first operating parameter based on a relationship between the first operating parameter and the second operating parameter contained in a characteristic diagram system, and graphically displays the evaluation data determined in this manner in the operating data field.

摘要： A method and a device are provided for detecting the condition of a pavement or roadway travel surface on which a vehicle is traveling. A 3D camera acquires 3D camera image data including at least one image of surroundings including the roadway travel surface extending in front of the vehicle in the direction of motion thereof. Transverse height profiles of the roadway travel surface that respectively extend along transverse lines extending transversely to the vehicle's direction of motion are determined from the 3D camera image data. The condition of the roadway travel surface is detected from the determined transverse height profiles.

摘要： A system and method for providing an optimal collision avoidance path for a host vehicle that may potentially collide with a target vehicle. The method includes providing off-line an optimization look-up table for storing on the host vehicle that includes an optimal vehicle braking or longitudinal deceleration and an optimal distance along the optimal path based on a range of speeds of the host vehicle and coefficients of friction of the roadway surface. The method determines the current speed of the host vehicle and the coefficient of friction of the roadway surface during the potential collision, and uses the look-up table to determine the optimal longitudinal deceleration or braking of the host vehicle for the optimal vehicle path. The method also determines an optimal lateral acceleration or steering of the host vehicle for the optimal vehicle path based on a friction ellipse and the optimal braking.

The method may further include receiving radar data collected for the environment of the vehicle that is indicative of a presence of the one or more objects in the environment of the vehicle, and identifying the indication that the surface on which the vehicle travels is wet further based on laser data points being unassociated with the one or more objects in the environment indicated by the radar data.
