摘要： A dynamic buffer suitable for supplying piles from a cutting station to a continuous stuffing system has two storage levels, upper and lower, each having parking cells arranged in series for receiving, retaining and dispensing the piles. Each cell comprises two consecutive roller-counter-roller pairs, spaced by a distance smaller than a longitudinal extension of the piles, motorized in synchrony, suitable for adheringly gripping and drawing a pile; a sensor designed to detect whether each parking cell is free or occupied by a pile. An electronic managing and command unit receives signals provided by the sensor and pilots the flow of piles in inlet to the storage levels, transfers the piles to successive cells and enables outlet of the piles from the storage level, the electronic unit acting in phase relation with the cutting station and the stuffing system, such that the supply of the piles thereto has a cadence proportional to the operating velocity thereof.

While the sheet on the process tray is being conveyed toward the sheet edge regulating member by the aligning member, the switching member switches the aligning member from the contact state to the non-contact state, and further switches the aligning member from the non-contact state to the contact state.

摘要： A post-processing device includes an introductory feed path, a processing tray, a post-processing section, a catch tray, a sheet delivery section, and a control section. The post-processing section is configured to perform post-processing on the sheet placed on the processing tray. The catch tray is disposed below the processing tray. The sheet delivery section has an upper rotary member and a lower rotary member which are disposed at an end of the processing tray lying on a catch tray side so as to be movable toward and away from each other. The control section causes the upper rotary member and the lower rotary member to press against each other at latest by the time a leading edge of a first sheet of a group of sheets to be post-processed at a time is brought into contact with the catch tray.

摘要： An automated banking machine operates responsive to data read from data bearing records to cause financial transfers. The machine includes a card reader that reads data from user cards corresponding to financial accounts. The machine can communicate with a host computer to cash financial checks. The machine can read check indicia, send check data to the host, receive authorization from the host to cash the check, and dispense cash corresponding to the check. The machine can also produce image data representative of the check indicia and determine whether the image data can be accurately identified within a predetermined level of assurance.

摘要： When a sheet bundle is being conveyed by any one pair of plural pairs of rollers independently movable toward and away from the bundle sheet, before the bound portion of the sheet bundle passes the pair of rollers, the pair of rollers on the downstream side nearest to the bound portion are separated from the sheet bundle, and the pairs of rollers more downstream than that pair convey the sheet bundle. Thereby, it happens less often that the pairs of rollers gather the air collected between adjacent ones of the sheets of the sheet bundle to the bound portion to thereby cause a slack to the sheets, and the occurrence of wrinkles or twists in the sheet bundle can be reduced. Also, the pair of rollers are separated from the sheet bundle before the bound portion passes the pair of rollers, whereby it happens less often that the pair of rollers are damaged by the bound portion, and the sheet bundle can be conveyed smoothly.

The roller assembly includes a first roller adapted for rotation within a housing, a second roller pivotally mounting about an axis to the housing and opposing the first roller to define a roller nip, a spring biasing mechanism operative to bias the second roller about the pivot axis toward the first roller to effect optimum frictional engagement of the roller nip with the face surfaces of the stacked sheet material and a transmission assembly operative to (i) transfer rotational motion of the first roller to the second roller, (ii) drive the first and second rollers in opposing directions to convey the stacked sheet material along the feed path, and (iii) facilitate pivot motion of the second roller about the pivot axis to vary the spacing of the roller nip and accommodate stacks of sheet material which vary in thickness.

摘要： The invention is to enable sheets to be aligned neatly even when front ends of the sheets are displaced to the front and back in overlapping the front and rear sheets and transporting the sheets from a sheet discharge outlet onto the tray, and provides an apparatus having a sheet transport path for transporting a sheet from a carry-in entrance to a predetermined sheet discharge outlet, a tray means for bearing and storing sheets, a regulation stopper for regulating the sheet by an end edge of the sheet striking the stopper, a holding path for temporarily holding a sheet in the sheet transport path, an alignment roller for transporting the sheet fed from the sheet discharge outlet to the regulation stopper, and a control means for controlling transport of the sheet, where the control means controls so that in the first operation mode, the alignment roller applies a transport force to the sheet by a predetermined pressing force after the rear end of the sheet is carried into the tray means, and that in the second operation mode, for a period during which rear ends of overlapped sheets are carried into the tray means and then reach the regulation stopper, the alignment roller changes the pressing force acting on the sheets from strong to weak and thereby applies the stepwise varied transport force.
