In an example, a lacing engine apparatus can include a housing, a drivetrain, and a lace take-up mechanism for retracting a length of lace cable upon activation. The drivetrain can include various reduction gears to reduce rotational speed out of the motor and power the lace take-up mechanism. The lace take-up mechanism can include structures such as a double-yoke, a radial pulley including an outer rotating disc and an inner stationary disc, a variable take-up spool, or a zip-strip mechanism.

摘要： An apparatus and method for dispensing and tensioning fence wire, the apparatus comprising a support frame extending along a longitudinal length between a front and a rear, the frame adapted to be moved along a path proximate to the fence to be formed and a rotational support adapted to rotatably support at least one reel of fence wire thereon, an adjustable tensioning unit adapted to be selectively secured to a fence wire and a drive unit wherein the drive unit is adapted to selectively control the tensioning unit to apply tension to the fence wire. The method comprising rotatably supporting at least one reel of fence wire on a rotational support, securing a first end of the fence wire to one of a plurality of fence posts and moving the frame along a path proximate to the fence to be formed, dispensing the fence wire along the path. Securing an adjustable tensioning unit to a second end of the fence wire, selectively controlling the tensioning unit to apply tension to the fence wire and securing a second end of the fence wire to one of the plurality of fence posts.

In an example, an assembly method can include operations such as inserting a mid-sole plate, attaching a laced upper portion, and inserting a lacing engine. The inserting a mid-sole plate operation can include inserting the mid-sole plate into a mid-sole of the footwear platform. The attaching a laced upper portion operation can include attaching a laced upper portion to the mid-sole and positioning a lace loop in the mid-sole plate. Finally, the inserting a lacing engine operation can include inserting a lacing engine into a cavity in the mid-sole plate, wherein the lacing engine includes a lace spool exposed along a superior surface to receive the lace loop.

摘要： Assemblies and methods for installing and maintaining aerial fiber optic cable are provided. Embodiments include a cable long enough to extend from two elevated support points and to provide enough slack for at least a portion of the cable to extend along the ground. The cable includes a wrapped portion for storing the slack and to elevate the entire cable above the ground. The wrapped portion being releasable in response to a force acting on the cable, such as a falling tree, allowing for at least a portion of the cable to fall to the ground and minimize the likelihood of the tree snapping the cable. Fasteners and frame members may be employed to support the wrapped portion. An embodiment may also include a cut-off apparatus for cutting the cable in response to the cable being pulled further once any slack in the cable has been expended.

摘要： An apparatus for keeping a state of tension constant on a material web which runs between successive pairs of driving rollers includes a torsion bar having a lever extension with a guide roller over which the material is directed. Sensing means are associated with the lever to sense variations of the torsion acting on the bar through the displacement of the lever by the variations in tension of the material which is being fed and this sensing means is connected to electrical control means for varying the speed of one or the other set of rollers or for braking the speed of one of the sets of the rollers in order to vary the tension on the web material which is fed.
