摘要： An underwater operation platform, including: a main body; two ducted propellers disposed at the tail end of the main body; a living building; pile legs; a tower crane; a submergence module; lifting devices; and a gantry crane. The main body includes a deck and a moonpool. The submergence module includes a support plate, a plurality of truss members, and a base plate. The living building disposed on the front end of the deck. The pile legs are disposed at the four corners of the main body, respectively. The deck includes two parallel pathways which are located at two sides of the moonpool, respectively, for supporting the gantry crane. The lifting devices are disposed on the deck and are close to four corners of the moonpool. The support plate and the base plate are integrated with the plurality of truss members.

摘要： The present invention relates to an apparatus for providing access to equipment or structures that require maintenance. More particularly, the present invention is suitable to provide access to equipment or structures located offshore, such as wind turbines or structures for oil and gas production. The apparatus comprises a deck, an apparatus structure for supporting the deck, a platform and a platform support mechanism. The platform is movable with respect to the deck from a stowed position to an extended position. In the extended position the platform forms an extension to the deck. The platform support mechanism comprises at least one cable and at least one compression post. The/each cable has a cable first end attached to the platform at or adjacent to a platform leading edge and a cable second end attached to the platform at or adjacent to a platform trailing edge. The/each compression post supports the cable between the cable first end and the cable second end and is adapted to maintain a substantially constant tension in one of said cables as the platform moves from the stowed position to the extended position.

摘要： Various hoisting systems having an assembly for gripping a hoisting line are provided. In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a hoisting system having a plurality of sheaves and a chain reeved about the plurality of sheaves. The chain includes links having clamps for selectively gripping a hoisting line. The hoisting system also includes a closing track having a travel path for the clamps of the links of the chain. This travel path includes an opening between two opposing surfaces and at least a portion of the opening has a width between the two opposing surfaces narrower than the widths of the clamps, when open, such that, when the links pass along the travel path of the closing track, the two opposing surfaces cause the clamps to close about the hoisting line. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.
