摘要： Methods and apparatus for launch and recovery of a remote inspection device within a fluid storage tank. In one embodiment, the tank is accessed by opening an entrance hatch and then injecting a vapor suppression foam across a surface of a stored liquid mass to form a foam layer. A launching system having a remote inspection device is attached to the entrance hatch to define a launch and recovery space sealed from an external environment and isolated from the stored liquid mass in the tank via a valve and the foam layer. The launch and recovery space is purged of hazardous vapors by injection of an inert gas prior to launch and recovery of the remote inspection device. Prior to removal of the launching system, the surface of the stored liquid mass is re-coated with vapor suppression foam.

摘要： A wood flooring adjustment and assembly tool includes a stationary flat bar having a distal end provided with a downwardly oriented lip, a guide statically attached to a top surface of the flat bar and located proximally of the downwardly oriented lip, a dynamic bar slidably positioned through the guide and linearly reciprocated along the stationary flat bar wherein the dynamic bar has a plate affixed to a distal end thereof, and a lever having a bottom end pivotally positioned at a proximal end of the stationary flat bar and directly abutted against a proximal end of the dynamic bar. Such a lever is pivotal about a fulcrum axis registered orthogonal to the proximal end of the stationary flat bar. The downwardly oriented lip is registered orthogonal to a longitudinal length of the dynamic bar and parallel to the flat bar.

摘要： A device and method for moving cargo on inclined, horizontal or vertical surfaces utilizes frictional forces selectively applied through the use of induced mechanical vibrations on a loaded, platform in conjunction with the force of gravity acting on the platform. The platform is vibrated to pivot or shift the platform relative to a support structure, engaging a portion of the platform secured to the platform with the support structure. At the furthest extent of this motion, the platform is pulled against the support structure by gravity, disengaging the portion from the support structure. In turn the pivot point for the device is shifted to the point of engagement between the platform and the support structure, which enables the portion of the platform to move upwardly along the support structure. The alternation of this engagement of the platform with the support structure causes the platform to move along the support structure.

摘要： An apparatus and process for lifting heavy objects by capturing mechanical work from the buoyant energy of liquid displacement. The apparatus comprises one or more bodies of liquid, collapsible liquid-displacement displacement vessel, and lifting force transfer means to the object, in use, the weight of the object to be lifted is secured onto the lifting platform and leveraged by the force transfer means to draw gas into the displacement vessel. Once the displacement vessel is full of gas, it will reverse the force transfer means to lift the object to the top of the liquid. Once the lifted object is secured at the elevated position, a gas release valve releases the gas and the displacement vessel collapses and sinks back down to the bottom of the liquid and the process can be repeated as necessary.
