摘要： Mixtures of (1) a quaternary ammonium salt(s) and (2) a diazole are novel catalysts in the process of reacting an alkali metal phenate, pyridinate or pyrimidinate with an O,O-dialkyl phosphorochloridothioate or O-alkyl phenylphosphonochloridothioate to produce the corresponding title compounds. The process is conducted under alkaline conditions in a liquid reaction medium. As an example, O,O-diethyl O-(3,5,6trichloro-2-pyridyl)phosphorothioate is prepared in excellent yields and purity by reacting sodium 3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridinate with O,O-diethyl phosphorochloridothioate in a stirred methylene chloride-water reaction medium in the presence of a catalytic amount of benzyltriethylammonium chloride and 1-methylimidazole.

摘要： A thiophosphate ester of the general formula: wherein R and R1 are C1-C4 alkyl and X, Y and Z each represent a hydrogen or halogen atom or a phenyl or C1-C4 alkyl group are obtained by reacting a dialkyl phosphorochloridothioate (RO)(R1O)P(S)Cl with an alkali metal salt of a hydroxypyrazine of the formula: in the presence of an inert solvent and of cuprous chloride as catalyst and preferably at a temperature in the range of 10 DEG C. to about 100 DEG C. The preferred inert solvents are ketones such as methyl isobutyl ketone. Best results are obtained by using cuprous chloride in the form of particles at least 95 per cent of which are capable of passing through a 200-mesh Tyler screen and especially particles having a surface area in the range of 0.5 to 1.0 square meter per gram. It is preferred to use an excess of up to 20% (e.g. 10 to 15%) of the stoichiometric amount of the alkali metal salt reactant. The products have insecticidal and acaricidal properties and may be used as sprays in organic solvents, as emulsions or on solid carriers. Specification 867,441 is referred to.

摘要： The invention comprises O,O-dialkyl O-(2-pyrazinyl) thiophosphates of the formula: wherein R and R1 are C1-C4 alkyl radicals, and X, Y, and Z represent hydrogen, halogen, e.g. chlorine or bromine, phenyl, or C1-C4 alkyl. They may be obtained by reacting a dialkyl phosphorochloridothioate (RO)(R1O)P(S)Cl with a hydroxypyrazine of the formula: or an alkali metal salt thereof in an inert solvent. When the free hydroxypyrazine is used the reaction is preferably carried out in the presence of a hydrogen chloride acceptor, e.g. an alkali metal- or alkaline earth metal carbonate. Suitable reaction temperatures are from 10 DEG to 100 DEG C., preferably 20 to 60 DEG C. Specified solvents are water, dimethyl formamide, dioxane, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, acetonitrile, benzene, toluene, xylene, lower aliphatic monohydric alcohols containing up to six carbon atoms, ketones and esters. Several examples are given. The products have nematodicidal properties (see Group VI). The dialkyl phosphorochloridothioates used as starting materials may be obtained by reacting two molecular equivalents of a dialkyldithiophosphoric acid or an alkali metal salt thereof with three molecular equivalents of chlorine at a temperature of 0-60 DEG C.ALSO: Seeds are coated with a thiophosphate ester of the formula in which R and R1 are alkyl radicals containing not more than 4 carbon atoms, and X, Y and Z represent hydrogen or a halogen or phenyl radical, or an alkyl radical containing not more than 4 carbon atoms (see Group IV(b)). The thiophosphate ester may be adsorbed on or mixed with an inert powdered substance such as activated carbon, charcoal, kaolin, bentonite, talc, pumice, silica, chalk, fuller's earth or wood flour. Alternatively it may be dispersed in a liquid such as water, e.g. with the aid of a dispersing or surface-active agent. In an example, tomato seeds are coated with an activated carbon dust containing 0, 0-diethyl 0- (2- pyrazinyl) phosphorothioate.ALSO:A nematodicidal composition comprises an inert carrier and a thiophosphate ester of the formula wherein R and R1 are C1-C4 radicals and X, Y and Z are hydrogen, halogen, phenyl, or C1-C4 alkyl radicals (see Group IV (b)). The invention also includes compositions comprising discrete amounts of a fertile soil and a thiophosphate ester as defined above in an amount effective to inhibit the growth of nematode larvae therein. The inert carrier may be a solid, e.g. kaolin, bentonite, talc, pumice, silica, chalk, wood flour, fuller's earth, activated carbon or charcoal, or may be a liquid, e.g. water, which may be used in conjunction with a dispersing or surface-active agent.
