摘要： The invention relates to an aqueous polymer dispersion comprising: a) an aqueous polymer dispersion comprising grafted rubber polymeric particles from rubber polymer being selected from natural or synthetic rubber, b) an aqueous polymer dispersion with polymeric particles of a second polymer comprising monomeric units derived front a monomeric composition b) comprising: b1) a (meth)acrylate of a linear or branched alcohol in C4 to C10 or a mixture of such (meth)acrylates, said (meth)acrylate having Tgb1 lower than −30° C., b2) optionally, at least one comonomer having Tgb2 higher than −30° C., with said grafted rubber polymeric particles being grafted in an aqueous dispersion by a part of said monomeric composition b) as defined above. The invention covers a process of preparation of said dispersion, an adhesive composition comprising said dispersion, the use of said dispersion in pressure sensitive adhesives, and the resulting adhesive.

摘要： Provided are surface-modified rubbers or surface-modified thermoplastic elastomers, such as catheters, syringe barrels, tubes of medical instruments, and mudguard fenders, and methods for modifying the surface of rubber or a thermoplastic elastomer, wherein a lubricant layer is firmly bonded to the surface of medical devices such as catheters, syringe barrels, and tubes of medical instruments to impart lubricity to the surface and, further, improve the durability of the lubricant layer on the surface, thereby suppressing deterioration of the sliding properties. Included is a surface-modified rubber or a surface-modified thermoplastic elastomer each having a surface at least partially treated by polymerization of a monomer in the presence of a thermal polymerization initiator.

One of the methods for producing a modified natural rubber particle includes the steps of: forming inclusion complex of the multifunctional vinyl monomers having two or more carbon-carbon double bonds with a guest-protecting agent to protect at least one of the double bonds of the multifunctional vinyl monomers; graft-copolymerizing the resulting inclusion complex onto natural rubber particles or deproteinized natural rubber particles; and deprotecting the protected double bonds by removing the guest-protecting agent from the obtained graft-copolymer.

摘要： A method for preparing multipolymers of guayule resin with methacrylic, acrylic, vinyl and styrenic monomers and the resultant compositions are disclosed. As a result of the multipolymerization, the physical and chemical properties of the resin are improved. The primary advantage of multipolymerization over mixtures of resin with homopolymers is that it leads to a homogeneous material, the properties of which can be regulated by adjusting the ratio of the concentration of monomers in the feed. One attractive feature is the production of low viscosity resins with reactive groups that can compete directly with oligomers and macro-monomers used in solventless inks, coatings and adhesives. The low cost of the resin, a byproduct from the extraction of hypoallergenic rubber from guayule and other plants bearing rubber or rubber-like hydrocarbons provides for hybrid low molecular weight copolymers that are cost competitive with state-of-the-art oligomers.
