摘要： An elastomeric coating composition to enhance or alter the aesthetic appearance of an automobile. The coating composition can be applied by spraying onto either a vehicle paint job or clear coat and is semi-permanent upon drying. The coating composition can be manually removed from the vehicle by peeling without damaging the underlying paint job or clear coat on the vehicle. The coating is made up of a polymer, a mid-block modifier, a tackifier, a thixotrope, a solvent blend, an antioxidant, and a UV stabilizer. A matting agent, static electricity mitigation agent, and a silica suspension agent may also be incorporated into the composition. A 2K gloss can be applied to the coating composition after application.

摘要： The present invention provides an anti-corrosion composition for a metal surface, especially of pre-stressing steel, the anti-corrosion composition being thixotropic and comprising an organic component which is an oil, fat or wax. The anti-corrosion composition of the invention is characterized in that it is translucent and also comprises an indicator which responds to corrosion of the metal surface by changing its absorption spectrum in the region of ultra-violet, visible or infra-red light, in particular with a colour change. Further provided in accordance with the invention are a metal structure bearing the anti-corrosion composition of the invention, an apparatus on the metal structure, and a method for checking the metal structure.

A coating is obtained by applying the coating composition to a substrate for protecting the substrate against UV/Vis-radiation or for stabilizing the substrate against the deleterious influence of UV/Vis-radiation.

This composition for an electric wire protective material contains a polypropylene resin and a copper deactivator and is used to form the electric wire protective material. The composition for an electric wire protective material is configured using a compound with a molecular weight of 400 or greater as the copper deactivator, and said composition can be used to obtain the electric wire protective material by being formed into a prescribed shape which can protect an electric wire. The wire harness is configured in that the periphery of an electric wire bundle comprising multiple insulated electric wires bundled together is covered with the wire protective material formed using the aforementioned composition for an electric wire protective material.

摘要： Microparticles containing an ultraviolet light absorbing polymer and 3-iodo-2-propynyl butylcarbamate (“IPBC”) resist discoloration by sunlight and other ultraviolet light sources. Methods for preparing the microparticles produce polymer-shielded, formaldehyde-free IPBC formulations which resist discoloration and leaching, and are especially useful in water-based applications. The microparticles include a polymer that absorbs light over a range of ultraviolet wavelengths associated with IPBC discoloration. The microparticles may be utilized in paints, stains, stuccoes, adhesives, and plastics, for example.
